The Independence

There was a protest concerning the constitution is being scoffed at. Also at the march of women, they said that we should be freed from the multimillionaires claiming that the middle class is being trodden under foot. So what is being freed? Accroding to the democrats we are not free and need to be liberated. All human beings desire to be free to live. Young people desrie freedom to do those things that they long to do. We need to understand what is the purpose of liberty and what it produces .

For the world, it is to express according to our will. Not to be in prison or not have any responsibilities, no limits. No consequences but onlt liberty - according to hte world

Liberty: The ture purpose is to do what we must do. There are things in life that we are called to do and the liberty is to do what we must accomplish.

Example: Israel

They were prisoners and could not serve the Lord. If they were to gather on satuday they were unable to. The Lord spoke to deliver Israel out of egypt but more work came from that. The Lord took them out but there was a price, the blood of the Lamb was applied and that is what freed Israel from the plague of death. But to receive that benefit they had to believe the Lord and be redeemed. If they did not apply that blood they would be destroyed. Faith is needed and once they were freed, then they could do what the Lord desired them to do.

Revolutionary war:

Our forefathers also seeked for liberty from england. But there was also a price to pay for that freedom. After the vivoroy over england and the declaration of independence says that “all men are created equal”. The constitution, in the 1st amendment protects religion, freedom of expression ect. Freedoms that are given by the constituition. A God given gift but aside from the price of the war, faith was also a factor. The reason why this nation exists is because many Europeans believed the Lord .Many died trying to arrive to America and the Lord brought the 1st great awakening and they believed the Lord and prepared them for the revoulionary war. John Adams said that he diesried to live free to live his Christian morals. LIberty to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord. Freedom to obey the Lord. This is a message that is life or death. Sin is what is causing slavery and is not allowing freedom to flow in our lives. The inclination to sin what we are, adam in us another words we were born this way.

Question: Some of us have had temptations? WHy? James says that all of us are tempted, there is a concupiscence in our heart that seduces us to what is wrong and to disobey. Where do altercations come from? Wars? James 4 responds, from your actions. The nature of man, we have this since we are born. We incline to do evil and disobey and come to be slaves of those things. And theat is when we say that we “want liberty” to do those things however the Lord comes out to visit us.

John 8:34–35 KJV 1900

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

Christ says if we sin, we are slaves of sin. Again there is a price to pay, a price that slave could not pay and that was paid by Christ Jesus. We need to believe the Lord so we could come out of Egypt.

There are 2 factors to make us free

THe word of the Lord

John 8:31–32 KJV 1900

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

They alreday believed on Him and were following Him. One Key to liberty is that the word of the Lord be in us. Knowing the truth, we know what to do and what we are not to do.

Psalm 119:45–46 KJV 1900

And I will walk at liberty: For I seek thy precepts. I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, And will not be ashamed.

TO walk in liberty it means to speak of a wide place. When we know the commandments of the Lord we come to know our limits. Where we could go and not go. What we could do and those things that we cannot do. One needs limitations to be free and have peace of mind. WHen Jesus came to the synagogue and read Isaiah. WIth the truth, the word they can reieve what the Lord desires them to do.

2. We need the Holy Spirit

2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV 1900

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

The context here is that the pople of Israel has a veil that does not allow them to see Christ. But when they convert, that veil will be taken off becuase the Holy Spiirit will be giving them light. We need the grace, the power of God to be in the ways of the Lord. THe Spiirt of truth, and alos called the Spirit of Grace because He imparts that grace.

The Lord is showing us what is happening in the church with what s happening in the United States. Why is there much guile? Why did they say that there were peacful protests in LA? Why did they say that aid was cut off and affected many? Wy did newsom say that trump never called and trump did call. WHy did AOC say that she was a bronx girl and she was not. Biden was said to be energetic and have the capability to lead. ACLU are group of lawyers that are “fighting for freedom” but they desire no law, allowing anyone to vote and do whatever they want. Whether it be abortion, whether it be freedom of gender choice and can be operated without parents consent - This is what the “No kings movements” proclaims.

Conclusion:

Many Christians are in that spirit and they lie and do not receive the truth. They hear the word (truth) and it does not enter, it can’t enter. They are slaves that are going to hell, they forget and say that they can lie and do whatever they desire.
