Discussion Questions: (update these questions based on the adjusted “I Believe Jesus Saves” lessons)
Who knows what you’re thinking? - the Lord
What does the Lord see about you so that He can know what you’re thinking? - your heart
What can you hide from God? - nothing
Introduction: Friends, on the first night we learned that God knows what we’re thinking because He knows our heart.
The next line in the song reminds us that God is interested in how we’re doing.
Friends, God is interested in the details of what’s going on in your life.
Psalm 139:16 “16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.”
Friends, God is interested in the details of your life because He planned them!
Friends, as Psalm 139:18 reminds us, God is always thinking about us.
Psalm 139:18 “18 If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.”
Friends, even when you’re asleep and not thinking about what’s going on around you, God is thinking about you!
Conclusion: Friends, God is always thinking about you.
He’s always thinking about you because He is working out the details of your life that He has planned.
Tomorrow night, we’re going to consider another really important trust from our song “I Believe Jesus Saves.”
