What compare foolish Martha
weird to
like cat chasing laser (describe)
Mary goes hand Martha dot
earthly outcome vs source
Chains events
even 10k years future
never rest always leads to another
if chase dot, always frustrated
close or far, happiness of it can never be caught
paw over paw more more frustrating
Point not avoid outcome
all acts aim outcome
earthly ones like red dot
cant penned down, close then far always
1.) lead to next thing
2.)not perfect not complete
cant avoid outcome so aim at eternal
all else leads, relies on, good or bad based on
God however source and so Good in self
complete, unchanging, source
hand not the dot
Martha
chases after earthly things
making good meal
house order
1.)all passing earthly outcomes
second satisfied meal, not desiring food
until thing trying to be satisfied
second order house used its disturbed
2.) Not to mention these lead to something else, maybe good or bad,
no telling good meal lead bad
even wisest cant see all ends
Vanity, all vanity
Only God is satisfying because only God is everlasting and unchanging good
Mary has it right
For us
overwhelmed by events in life
why think for best or worse no matter how horrifying or ecstaticly pleasing?
lead, rely, based to something else
nothing in life is stable
always changing
ALWAYS frantic distress paw over paw trying to catch
Where we stress?
Where we act like cat thinking we caught dot?
only one act makes sense:
1 Cor 10:31. in whatever do, do for glory God
Only God
actions about God over the passing
hand over the dot
Mary over Martha
do so even in this life taste of Christ peace which is not as dots of world give.
