Good morning, Heritage Church family.
This might be a first for all of us, a septic system dedication. But this is an important moment in the life of our church, and I want to take a few minutes to acknowledge what God has done.
This project has been a long time coming.
For more than 10 years, our church has needed a new septic system.
It was promised, delayed, and quite honestly, mishandled. Some of you know that the money raised for this was taken by someone who was supposed to be a shepherd.
Not only did that leave a wound but it left nothing in the ground.
But our God is a redeemer. Over the past seven years, you’ve prayed, you’ve waited, you’ve trusted. And this year, the Lord allowed us to finally get it done, the right way, with integrity and faithfulness.
So, while it might seem odd to stand here and dedicate a septic system, this moment represents something much deeper. It marks the faithfulness of God, the resilience of this church, and a turning point where what was once broken has now been restored.
I don’t know if there’s a Hallmark card for 'Happy Septic Dedication,' but I think we’ll all remember this moment, not for what’s underground, but for what God has done above and among us."

Recognition of people

I want to take a moment to thank a few people. First, we’re honored to have Peggy Brewer here, the wife of this churches founding pastor. As well as his son Paul Brewer . Your presence today reminds us that we stand on the prayers and sacrifices of those who came before us. Thank you for being here.
We’re also grateful to have  Tony Edmondson, who led the installation and did excellent work. Thank you for your professionalism and partnership.
And thank you to all of you who’ve prayed, given, waited patiently, and trusted God to provide.

Scripture Reading

"Let me share just a short Scripture with you
Colossians 3:23–24 ESV
23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
Even in the behind-the-scenes things (the unglamorous, the unnoticed) we’re still serving Jesus.
This project, though hidden underground, supports everything we do above it: worship, fellowship, ministry. It also represents future expansion. From here we launch a campaign to raise $250,000 to put in a foundation and pole style structure.
It matters."

Prayer of Dedication

"Let’s pray together."
Father, We thank You for this moment,  for Your provision and Your perfect timing. What was once a source of loss is now a testimony of Your faithfulness. We dedicate this new system to You. May it serve this church well for many years, supporting the ministry and mission You’ve called us to. Help us to be good stewards of all You provide, even the unseen things. May this be one more reminder that You care about every detail of our lives, and You never forget Your people.
We give You all the glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

Closing

And with that — the first and hopefully last septic system dedication in our church’s history is complete."
Let’s head inside and do what this building — and this septic — was built to support: let’s worship.
