Righteous living starts with how we listen and respond to others, in the same way Jesus always listened with compassion and patience.
How are you guys listening and responding to other people? Especially at work, or even your family?

Getting rid of all of the moral filth that we have and the evil that is so prevalent in our lives.
We live in a world where this is pretty difficult to do. The second we scroll on our phones, walk around different places. We will see a lot of this moral filth.
BUT we do live in the world but we don’t have to live of this world, and following the world.

James 1:23-25
James uses a good illustration here for us. We have someone that looks at themselves in the mirror and then after walking away immediately forgets what they look like.
In our life we can have an encounter with Jesus, we can see that we have Jesus with us and the go back into the world and then fall right back in to our same old sinful patterns.

Maybe express the importance of a bridled tongue and active compassion, stressing that true religion cares for others and resists worldly corruption.
Putting the care of others ahead of your own, and refusing that worldly urge to give in to temptation.
