5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. 6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
32 Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold. 33 Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.

Part 5
7 And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; 8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

7 And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
God is talking to Moses about the affliction of His people in Egypt
God says:
“I have seen the affliciton”
Obviously He does… He’s God… He sees all…
But the question is, God sees the affliction on these poor people, but do you?
God says:
“I know their sorrows”
But do you?
Do you share what God sees?
Hopefully you would have or start to develop a burden for the people where God has placed you because of their affliction and bondage…
Do you see the bonds of sin on the people in Roseburg?
**This perspective will drive your burden as a soul winner**
Song: Looking Through Your Eyes
“Let me see this world, dear Lord,As though I were looking through Your eyes.A world of men who don’t want You Lord,But a world for which You died.Let me kneel with You in the garden,Blur my eyes with tears of agony; For if once I could see this world the way You see,I just know I’d serve You more faithfully.
Let me see this world, dear Lord,Through Your eyes when men mock Your Holy Name. When they beat You and spat upon You, Lord,Let me love them as You loved them just the same.Let me stand high above my petty problems,And grieve for men, hell bound eternally; For if once I could see this world the way You see,I just know I’d serve You more faithfully.”
God didn’t see a murderer who spent 40 years under Egyptian knowledge and culture… He saw a deliverer to hit the heart of the problem
God didn’t see a mere shepherd boy… He saw the King of Israel… a man after His own heart in fact…
God didn’t see some unlearned and ignorant fishermen… God saw some disciples who would forsake all to follow Him and serve Him with their life!
God didn’t see a murderer and afflicter of His people… God saw an Apostle who would be the catalyst to take the Gospel to the whole world
Thankfully God didn’t see a sinful nobody to die in my sin… He saved me, called me, placed me…
II. Sharing God’s Plan
II. Sharing God’s Plan
8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
Notice: God’s plan of deliverance includes a deliverance from something, to something…
Freedom from addiction to a life of freedom in Christ
Freedom from depressing ungodly music to Righteous Godly music
From contentious relationships to peaceful relationships
From hell to Heaven
He talks about the goodness of the land He is delivering them too…
But notice the end of vs. 8 “…unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.”
Principle: When you leave something wrong for something right there is always a fight…
If it’s something good, it’s something worth fighting for…

9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
God tells Moses - “…I will send thee…”
Notice how God does not tell Moses that He is sending Him to Israel…
Israel did not need a motivational speaker, a life coach or a how-to expert…
They needed a DELIVERER!
God tells Moses HE is sending him to “Pharaoh”…
True answers come from God… God goes right for the heart of the problem and in this case, it’s Pharaoh!
Now Moses get’s his job from God…
The question is, what will he do with it?
We find out next week…
