How To Stay Physically Fit

Motivation
Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
1 Peter 2:2 “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”
Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings as eagles; They shall run, and not be weary; And they shall walk, and not faint.”
Being physically fit doesn’t happen on purpose
neither does being Spiritually fit
We are made in the image of God
Body, Soul, Spirit
With our body we accomplish the will of God
Our mind needs to grow in knowledge and understanding of God
Ephesians 1:17–18 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,”
Our Spirit makes us more aware of God, and helps us to communicate with God, it also guide us in Holiness, goodness and love
John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
Physical fitness depends upon a proper balance of three things
Nourishment, Rest, Exercise
Just as a shortage of that results in bad health
In a Similar way we must balance 3 things
Prayer, Bible Study, Service
Prayer- Rest, Renewal, SpiritualExercise
Bible Study- Spiritual nourishment for spiritual strength
Service- builds spiritual muscles and progressively gives you strength to do more.
Before we look at three essentials for having a quiet time I want to show you some things about Jesus Devotional life.
Matthew 14:23 “And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.”
Luke 5:16 “And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.”
