Scripture:  Acts 2:1-41 Bottom Line: The Holy Spirit awakens ordinary hearts to extraordinary life.
Engage: Have you ever felt like you were going through the motions—even spiritually? Like you were breathing, but not alive? That’s exactly where the disciples were. Waiting. Unsure. Then suddenly, everything changed. The Spirit moved, and hearts woke up.
Encounter: Turn to Acts 2. Let’s read this not as history—but as invitation.
Verses 1–4: A sound like rushing wind. Tongues of fire. The Spirit fills them. These aren’t spiritual giants—they’re everyday people whose hearts were awakened by God’s presence.
Verses 5–13: People from every nation hear truth in their own language. The Spirit doesn’t just wake us up—He wants the world to know.
Verses 14–21: Peter stands. This is the same Peter who fell asleep in the garden and denied Jesus. But now he’s awake—with boldness, vision, and voice.
Verses 22–40: He preaches Jesus crucified and risen—and 3,000 respond. Not because of a polished sermon, but because God was waking people up.
Reveal: The Spirit awakens you to what’s always been true: God is near. Jesus is alive. And your heart was made for this.
Empower: How do you live awake?
Ask: “Holy Spirit, awaken what’s gone cold in me.”
Be willing to move—out of comfort, into calling.
Don’t go back to sleep. Stay close to Jesus and stay alert.
You don’t need to force the fire—just receive the breath.
The Spirit doesn’t awaken you to watch—He awakens you to live.
