Bible Passage: Daniel 6:10, Philippians 4:6-7
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Daniel 6:10 “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.”
Daniel’s prayer life showed that he was
Consistent - he prayer three times a day every day
Unselfish - His prayers were for the success of the kingdom and preservation of the captives
Bold - He didn’t hide or stop praying because of the edict, but rather waited until the writing was signed so he could pray where everyone could see.
Daniel was not concerned with the edict from the king. He did not worry or have anxiety about what would happen if he prayed. He understood that the moment of tension would create glory for God no matter the outcome!

Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
The Apostle Paul points out that as Christians, we should not worry about anything because God has the outcome. Notice his words:
Prayer - Is the method of communication between you and God. But prayer contains two elements
Supplication - Ask God for what you need in an unselfish manner.
James 4:2–3 “Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.”
Thanksgiving - Is your response in praise and faith! When you open your mouth in thanksgiving, you are letting God know that you believe He will do just what He says He will do!
When you trust God with your problems, God will fill you with a peace that you can sleep in the mouth of the lion or chained up to the guard.

Daniel 6:10, Philippians 4:6
Looking back at the story of Daniel, we can knows what happens next. He is thrown into the lion’s den. But God sent the angel to shut the mouths of the lions and Daniel had a good night’s sleep. And in the morning, he woke up refreshed and ready to give God some praise. And when King Darius found out that he was safe, he pulled him out and put the haters in. Because there is something about peace.
Proverbs 16:7 “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
