thanks God, thanks Courtney, thanks Miriam and pray - 2min
Theme is Abide, John chapter 15 (im the vine u the branches) During prayer a passage was highlighted on my mind
Matthew 27:21–22 “The governor again said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas.” Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said, “Let him be crucified!””
in this passage we See Jesus barabbas been chosen to be released and Jesus Christ Crucified.
but as i was studying i found out something intresting about this passage.
Barabbas name (means “Son of Abba” - and in some ancient manuscripts of Matthew he is called “Jesus Barabbas” was also called Jesus).
So the question that Came to my mind was: Which Jesus are we Choosing?
A counterfeit Jesus? or the Real Christ?
and i realized that is not possible to abide if first we dont know whre we abiding ?
So to summarize i did a List that is gonna help us to know and abide in the right VINE.
we wil call it the “THREE R’s”
Revelation
Response
Reverence

To start we need to have the revelation, who’s Jesus?

Matthew 16:13–16 “Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.””
John 1:1–3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
John 6:68 “Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life,”
John 8:57–58 “So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.””
John 4:25–26 “The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.””
Romans 8:3–5 “For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.”

Now that we know whos is Jesus, how should i answer to him?

Matthew 4:18–22 “While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him. And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them. Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.”
John 4:39 “Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me all that I ever did.””
Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
Luke 24:46–49 “and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.””
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.””
Matthew 28:19–20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””
Isaiah 6:8 “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.””

Now that we the Revelation of jesus, and the Response, we need to know how to keep walking on it!

Romans 12:1 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
John 14:21 “Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.””
Colossians 3:2 “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”
Colossians 3:5 “Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.”
Psalm 119:9 “How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.”
Matthew 10:37 “Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”
And the question after all of that is where are you today?
are you following the right Jesus?
are you chaging your life because of him?
are you dying for youself because of him?
where are you today? Which Jesus do we want? A Counterfeit jesus who serves us ? or a Real christ who Change us?
