How does a crop reproduce?

Mark 4:20 NIV
Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”

Jesus uses the explanation of parable to begin a parable

Mark 4:21–23 NIV
He said to them, “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.”
Matthew 5:14–16 NIV
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
The Jewish leaders treated the revelation of God as something to be guarded or concealed
Jesus was the revelation of God and they were offended by His openness

God’s love was meant to be shared

Parables were teaching for those wishing to understand
Jesus was God for those wishing to find Him
Though hidden, the intention of both is to be revealed

You can expect to find Jesus at the level in which you look for Him

Mark 4:24–25 NIV
“Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.”
Matthew 7:7–8 NIV
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
How flippant and casual are we with the revelation of God’s love ?
Do we treat His Gospel with the dedication it deserves?

The love of God through Jesus should permeate every action so that you become a lamp to a darkened world
