Final Chapel Session: Staying Anchored

Well, we are finally here… Our last time all together this week. And wow—it’s been such a good week getting to know each one of you.
We’ve played hard, laughed a ton, and.. most importantly, we’ve learned some powerful truths about who God is and what He’s done for us.
I don’t want to take too much time, but let me quickly walk through everything we’ve learned:

Quick Recap of the Week

1. Who Is God? God is holy and powerful, full of love, mercy, and compassion..and He invites us into a real relationship with Him.
2. God Is the Creator God made everything on purpose. He is powerful, perfect, caring, and intentional in His design, including you!
3. Made in God’s Image You were created on purpose, in God’s image, to reflect His glory and live out His purpose.
4. Sin Entered the World Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and sin entered the world— we’ve also all sinned and fall short of God’s standard.
5. The Wait Is Over: Who Is Jesus? Jesus is the promised Messiah, fully God and fully man. He came to rescue us and be God with us—Immanuel.
6. Why Did Jesus Come? Jesus came to pay the price for our sin, to die in our place, and to bring us back into relationship with God.
7. Redemption Redemption means Jesus rescued us. He bought us back from sin and gave us a new purpose—to reflect His image and walk closely with Him again.

So... Now What?

You’ve heard a lot. You’ve learned a lot. But what happens now that camp is ending?
You’re going back home, back to your city, your school, your normal life. Maybe yourhard life.. And honestly, it’s really easy to forget everything once we get back into routines.
That’s why I want to give you a way to stay connected to what God has done in your heart this week.
I want you to stay anchored.
I would like to use the A-N-C-H-O-R and use it a s an acronym for how you can stay rooted in Jesus …

A.N.C.H.O.R. — Stay Rooted in Christ

A — Attend a local church regularly Don’t try to do this alone. Find a gospel-preaching church and go every week. Be part of what God is doing in your community.
N — Nurture friendships from camp Stay in touch with the friends you made here. Message them, pray for each other, encourage each other to follow Jesus.
C — Connect with a youth group Find a youth group where you can grow in your faith with others your age. Youth group gives you a space to ask questions and grow.
H — Have a mentor Look for an older Christian—maybe someone from church or your family—who can walk with you, pray for you, and help you follow Jesus.
O — Own it Don’t just wait for others to help you grow, make it personal. Read your Bible. Pray to God. Ask questions. Take your relationship with Jesus seriously.
R — Reach out to others God didn’t just change your life for you to keep it to yourself. Share what you've learned. Tell others about Jesus. Invite them to walk with Him too.

Final Words

Camp is ending… But your journey with Jesus is just beginning.
Don’t leave what you’ve learned here behind. Take it home with you. Stay anchored in Christ..because storms will come, and life gets messy.
But Jesus is strong enough to hold you.
I want to end on a powerful verse from the book of Hebrews…
Hebrews 6:19 NLT
This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.
That anchor… is Jesus.
He’s the one who saves, the one who holds you, and the one who walks with you wherever you go.
Let’s pray together.
