This week (finishing up from last week)

2. The Qualification of the Call

Exodus 3:12 KJV 1900
12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.
“Certainly”
“Token”
It was as much a promise as God’s promise in the rainbow:
Genesis 9:13 KJV 1900
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
It was as much a promise as God’s promise to Israel that whomever placed the blood over the doorpost of their houses would not have their firstborn killed while in Egypt:
Exodus 12:13 KJV 1900
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
“When”
God’s call is sure...
The only thing unsure in the calling of God is ourselves typically...

3. The Quickening of the Call

Exodus 3:13–15 KJV 1900
13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
Psalm 119:50 KJV 1900
50 This is my comfort in my affliction: For thy word hath quickened me.
This was a solidification…
A stamp of approval…
A stamp of power on the call for Moses…
Who should I say sent me???
“The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you…”
Interesting note: Moses had to know who God was before he could tell Israel who God was…
God tells him, “I AM THAT I AM”…
Then he was instructed to tell Israel, “I AM hath sent me unto you…”
All throughout the Bible, God communicated with His servants this way...
He would say “I AM hath sent you...”
“I AM hath delivered you...”
“I AM the LORD that brought you...”

Part 7:

1. The Proclamation from God

Exodus 3:19 KJV 1900
19 And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.

2. The Provision from God

Exodus 3:20 KJV 1900
20 And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.

3. The Promise from God

Exodus 3:21 KJV 1900
21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:
The cherry on top...
Exodus 3:22 KJV 1900
22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.
