Faith and Victory
Faith and Victory
For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
Faith Understands the Partnership with the invisible
Faith Understands the Partnership with the invisible
Bishop David Oyedepo, “Faith is partnering with the invisible in the light of scriptures, usually for the accomplishment of the impossible.”
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.
It is the Evidence of things we cannot see
Those who partner with God through faith engage in the impossible
Mary asked in Luke 1:34
And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?”
The angels response shows how God works in the life of those who partner with Him through their faith
The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God. What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. For the word of God will never fail.”
Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her.
Jesus’ very physical existence demanded that God partner with a person who had faith-
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it.
Moses’ example-
Moses’ example-
Moses actively partnered with God-
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Pay close attention to this. I will make you seem like God to Pharaoh, and your brother, Aaron, will be your prophet.
The KJV says Exodus 7:1
And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
What is the Sign that God gives that He is with us?
What is the Sign that God gives that He is with us?
God answered, “I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.”
Moses Had Asked, “Who am I?”
To go and stand before Pharaoh?
To lead these people?
God never answer His question- He tells Him the the source of Victory
God never answer His question- He tells Him the the source of Victory
I will be will you!
Jesus make this same promise when He gave us the Great commission
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
The Sign that Jesus is with us is that we will Succeed-
God doesn’t call us to be Failure
Faith Remembers that the Lord is actively Helping to succeed
Faith Remembers that the Lord is actively Helping to succeed
Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
“I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.”
So we can say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper,
so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?”
It is was the Help of the Lord that cause Nehemiah to find favor with the King and He got to go and rebuild Jerusalem- Because God was working on His behalf
Then he said to me, “This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
“Zerubbabel is the one who laid the foundation of this Temple, and he will complete it. Then you will know that the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has sent me.
The Sign was the Success!
The Sign that God’s presence is with you is the success-
You will be what God has called you to be
You will do what God has called you to Do
The Problem is Faith-
The Problem is Faith-
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
The Bible says in Hebrews 11:11-12
It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise. And so a whole nation came from this one man who was as good as dead—a nation with so many people that, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them.
Believed- “She considered Him (God ) ?Faithful who had promised!”
Consider Him Faithful
Consider Him Faithful
This is message of faith that is preach through the lives of all the Old Testament saints
Numbers 13:25-33
Numbers 14:1-11
Two had the Faith to believe- they sttod on the promise
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
What are these fortified cities and Giants when God fights our battles?
David “God is going to Kill you and I am going to cut of your Head
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
Joshua’s faith
Joshua’s faith
“Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
the faith of Abraham was that He Believed the Word of God
He believed He was blessed by God
the Blessing wasn’t just Issac it was His very life
Joshua’s faith- everywhere He is gonna set His feet belong to Him and the people
