Proverbs 6-7

Watch your mouth, Chapter 6

Proverbs 6:1–5 “ My son, if you become surety for your friend (co-sign), If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger, (scammed) 2 You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth. (mouth writing checks) 3 So do this, my son, and deliver yourself; For you have come into the hand of your friend: Go and humble yourself; Plead with your friend. 4 Give no sleep to your eyes, Nor slumber to your eyelids. 5 Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.”
Proverbs 22:7 “ The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.”
But they would never hurt me by…FLWords
Any animal scrambles to bolt from snare, dont willingly go in

Get off the couch

Proverbs 6:6–11 “ Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, 7 Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler, 8 Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest. 9 How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep? 10 A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep— 11 So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, And your need like an armed man.”
Wicked Isn't Gooder
Proverbs 6:12–19 “ A worthless person, a wicked man, Walks with a perverse mouth; 13 He winks with his eyes, He shuffles his feet, He points with his fingers; 14 Perversity is in his heart, He devises evil continually, He sows discord. 15 Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly; Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy. (when repeating twice like this, is an sureity) 16 These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.”
Are you better than everyone? Is is all about you? Do you lie to make yourself look better? Would you fight for your flesh? Just to get your way? Do you plot to get yours? Devious, not contemplative. Do you run even to do bad things so you get what you want? Do you shift blame, saying nothing is your fault? Do you get others fighting to take attention from your mistakes?
Abomination: to-abot: abhor, disgust. To live in this manner is disgustig to Him. God isnt please with this, ever. he will never approve Proverbs 26:21 “ As charcoal is to burning coals, and wood to fire, So is a contentious man to kindle strife.”
Adultery next week, something to look forward to lol.
Application: Paul says in Galatians 3:23–25 “ But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.”
We don’t walk in perfection, we live in the perfect one. We don’t need to study to be saved, we study to know Him better and live as he has called us. Its that knowledge of His perfect walk, that brought us to where we are. 2 Thessalonians 2:10 “ and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” Its not loving just generic truth, but loving truth, Jesus. The way/truth/life (Jn 14:6)
Its about whos living in you, to keep your heart Christs home. Luke 6:45 “ A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
