The Hope of Glory Romans 5:1-2, Colossians 1:27

The benefits of salvation is only one part of the total plan that God has for those that trust in him.

We must be willing to let God transform us to reveal His glory in us.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Both passages identify realities of our life as believers.

These are the things that mark all those that put their trust in God.

What does it mean to trust God?

To believe in.

To place confidence in.

1 John 3:21 KJV 1900

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

Hebrews 3:14 KJV 1900

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

God knows us created us

What did they pursue? What was the overall goal?

The Glory of God

The God moment

This was was not the usual encounter. It was a God moment, a Kairos season.

Not Enough

Being Justified

Having peace with God

Having access to God's favor

All of these realities were for us

Glory is for God.

The Glory process God's Work, Our Work, Work With God, God's Work in us, Through Us

Begins with the work by God

It moves to our work for God. I must work

Next is our work with God. Lazarus come forth

Finally is God working though us. Treasure in earthen vessels.

This is the hope of Glory.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Christ with you is enough

for ever task

he has commanded but

Christ in you is the glory's hope.

What is the Hope of Glory?

That the word be made flesh in you.

That Christ may dwell in you richly, in abundance, without measure.

The hope of Glory is that all the earth be filled with the Glory of God.

Paul declares that our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.

Former Glory

At the dedication of Solomon's temple there was a Aesthetics Glory.

It was built by Divine design.

Precious materials

Gold, precious stones, and colorful tapestries.

Cedar of Lebanon towering pillars

Purposeful people

Recognized the significance

Responded with voluntary gift

Resolutely labored till the projects completion

Powerful mandate

This was the house of the Lord

But like the bones in the valley of dry bones spoken by the prophet Ezekiel, It was pretty on the outside, only significant in the minds of the people.

But on the day of dedication God's Glory filled the temple. It was God's Glory inside that validated the work upon the house.

Psalm 127:1 KJV 1900

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: Except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Except the Lord builds a house, that that labor labor in vain.

We will never be able to build a tower to God

Through our own effort make and access point to him.

But if you can believe you will see the Glory of God.

God has been working on you for a long time.

God worked on yon when he formed you in your mothers womb

God worked on you when he saved you from sudden destruction.

God worked on you when he came through for you just when you needed him.

Many people will live there lives oblivious to the fact that with each passing moment a God is working on them. They say it is only by chance these things are happening. They place there confidence in human effort, mostly there own.

After the destruction of the first temple, the prophet Haggiah said, How can you build your own house while the house of God lay in ruin? How can you be more concerned for what you call your stuff, your money, your houses, your family, your life and not give any attention to Him, the one who provided it all.

Haggiah warned a people that lost their mandate for the work for the Lord. A people that served from the vantage point of convenience and comfort, telling them to consider their ways.

God's people cannot rely on the world system alone for their provision. They must rely upon God.

Deuteronomy 8 Moses don't say when you have eaten ad are full that by my power have I gotten this and forget that it was the Lord that gives your the power to obtain wealth.

He didn't give you wealth but He gave to the power to obtain wealth.
