How are the dead raised?

1 Corinthians 15:35 “35 But someone will ask,

“How are the dead raised?

With what kind of body do they come?””

The answer to the first should be Generally EASY FOR YOU TO ANSWER

Is any one thinking a various answer to BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST AND THE POWER OF THE LORD over all things

We know that a SACRIFICE needed MADE

We know at BLOOD WAS THE PRICE

WE KNOW that CHRIST HAS AUTHORITY OF ALL THINGS

We learned that THESE THINGS came together by the WILL OF THE LORD

I have to admit i have pondered those questions

How are the DEAD RAISED

and WHAT BODY DO WE GET

Tell me you haven’t thought about it

Hoping for leaner this or that

running endlessly

thinking on deep things

Will i be able to LEAP a MOUNTAIN

or swim to the bottom of OCEANS

Will i be able to RIDE a RAINDROP/

WE ALL WONDER

Last week i told you HOPE< PROMISE and TRUST

How does that really work?

When i was a kid, i loved to take things apart

My grandmothers table.. took out the screws.. Table fell

_________________________________I wanted to know how things fit together

I wanted to know

We are often like that with God.. we want so bad to know something

that we disassemble something and let a few screws out.________

It is normal for us to wonder

natural for us to WANT TO KNOW

BUT our God mission is to GET IT RIGHT

or at least ensure that we are basing it all on GOD’s WORD

Paul says “ HOW FOOLISH”

but Paul goes on with a beautiful illustration

Like a Seed

1 Corinthians 15:36–44 ESV

36 You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body. 39 For not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish. 40 There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly is of another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory. 42 So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. 43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

What a beautiful picture of TRUTH

We must change in order to become something new

I remember pondering on this analogy years ago

I remember the AH HA moment

God made you SOIL —— created Man from DUST

God made it FERTILE in order to GROW

but SIN poisoned that SOIL —- NOTHING GOOD can GROW in our ADAM SOIL

BUT BUT BUT

God Said enough and sent HIMSELF in the HUMAN FORM to earth

so that ALL that believe in HIM can be SAVED

JESUS paid the PRICE — VICTORY in the RESURRECTION

SAY IT AGAIN ——- VICTORY in the RESURRECTION

NOW your SOIL is CAPABLE of PRODUCING

the POISON in the SOIL REMOVED

You are able to GROW to a HARVEST FOR CHRIST

YOU SUBMITTED to CHRIST

YOU were CHANGED

THAT SEED WAS PLANTED in YOU

the SEED DIES through GROWTH

SO THAT you can GROW, BLOSSOM and PRODUCE more SEED

We are all FARMERS for CHRIST

Jesus PLANTED in YOU

GAVE you the HOLY SPIRIT

and NOW you submit and NURTURE the GROW

You MATURE —— INTO that PLANT,

SO THAT you can PRODUCE A HARVEST

LET THAT REST A MOMENT

YOU ARE A PLANT PRODUCING MORE SEED< TO BE PLANTED IN OTHERS 1 cor 15:32-50

THEN YOU HELP TO GROW THEM AND THEY START TO PRODUCE

OUR MISSION — GLORIFY AND GROW

THIS IS THE CYCLE OF THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

OUR earthly body will PASS AWAY like that SEED

our Plant starts to wither away

and we KNOW in our HEART THAT we are PART OF SOMETHING AMAZING

Our TIME will come to look across the FIELD and SEE the PLANTS

of OTHERS —- that Came FROM OUR SEED

the LAND OWNER GOD

says WELL DONE good and FAITHFUL SERVANT

BUT THERE IS A SECOND QUESTION

WHAT DOES THAT BODY LOOK LIKE?

Natural vs Spiritual Body

1 Corinthians 15:44–49 ESV

44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. 47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.

Genesis teaches that God made man from the earth the dust and then breathed life into it

Our second body will be made from Heaven and the BREATH OF LIFE —- the Holy Spirit available because of the Blood of Jesus

Do you see the flow, the connection

The Holy Trinity present in creating the ADAM

Sin split the ADAM

and for thousands of Years that SPLIT caused a separation of POWER

MAN no longer in the Presence of GOD

BUT

God always had a PLAN

the Plan was to REUNITE that Spirit

so that Man and GOD could be in relationship again

God sent Jesus to teach, be human, to be on that CROSS

to DIE, BURY, and RESURRECT

so that the BREATH of LIFE could be breathed back in to ALL who BELIEVE

SO we live our 1-100 years, so God’s Planned TERM for you

Then in a blink of an EYE we are transformed

BUT INTO WHAT

FRIENDS —- WE DON”T EXACTLY KNOW

COME TO CHURCH and LEAVING WANTING

SORRY but that is GOD’s PLAN

HOPE ( REST )on HIS PROMISE, and TRUST IN TRUTH

Conclusion

Friends you must simply BELIEVE

BELIEVE that it will BE AMAZING

it may need be the BODY you DESIRE

BUT FINALLY IN THAT BLINK you GET THE BODY YOU DESERVE

the ONE that GOD has PLANNED FOR YOU

Let me leave you with This QUESTION

DOES IT MATTER WHAT THAT SPIRITUAL BODY is LIKE?

DOES it??

I think NOT… I know that GOD will make it PERFECT, GLORIOUS, and ALL THE BAD will have PASSED away

no additions

no mental or physical PAIN

all you PAST is GONE

YOU WILL BE PERFECTED

Philippians 1:6 ESV

6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Friends——— HE PROVIDED the SEED through HIS SON JESUS

We were given the GIFT of

Fertile SOIL

Nutured by the HOLY SPIRIT

and MATURED by CHRIST and OTHERS —— BY the BREAD OF LIFE, and the WATER OF LIFE

Then when are TIME in DONE on this EARTH

WE ARE TRANSFORMED into OUR SPIRITUAL BODIES

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY

Friends the GLORY is not in the SHAPE at ALL

The GLORY is in BEING in PERFECT PRESENCE

PERFECT GLORY in CHRIST JESUS

RESIDING IN HEAVEN WITH OUR LORD

PRAISE GOD>
