KJV Matthew 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

To begin with brothers and sisters Christian Friends Well Wishers and Saints of God as we glint gleam and gaze at this glorious text I see temptation and tension and trouble and turmoil and tribulations and the ultimate trial of the Spirit man. Our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ is the main character here and the devil is playing a supportive role. Somebody ask me why would you being a rogue scholar who is well versed in English say that the devil is in a supportive role rather than an antagonistic role, rather than being in an adversarial role and rather than being the straight up enemy of mankind.
To begin with brothers and sisters Christian Friends Well Wishers and Saints of God as we glint gleam and gaze at this glorious text I see temptation and tension and trouble and turmoil and tribulations and the ultimate trial of the Spirit man. Our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ is the main character here and the devil is playing a supportive role. Somebody ask me why would you being a rogue scholar who is well versed in English say that the devil is in a supportive role rather than an antagonistic role, rather than being in an adversarial role and rather than being the straight up enemy of mankind.
Well the answer is that in order for Jesus to be our All Sufficient Savior He had to exhibit the ability to overcome EVERY TEMPTATION known to mankind.

But why get the devil to do the tempting? Alright watch this you need your enemy to come against you to bring out your true colors. YEAH 3x You ain’t gon get your own child to go up against you for other people are you? And so watch this now, Jesus couldn’t get Adam to go against the Jesus to be the adversarial prosecutor because he and Eve had already fail in the Garden of Eden. And that’s why the fall of man happened in the first place.

And so now Jesus in the NEW TESTAMENT is considered the Bread come from Heaven to save mankind. preach Dr. Allen. And so let’s read what Jesus tells Satan in verse 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Also this first temptation indicates to us that in 2025 God knows the needs of society. he knows that prices are going sky high while our salaries are staying the same. God knows that some folk have even loss their jobs with this new administration. But hold on because the solution to our problem is in the text.. Man shall not live by bread alone That’s true but that’s not the answer. The answer is “ but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!”. If God said it and we believe it and that settles it. That’s it and that’s all.

Sometimes you’ve got to just ask yourself why am I putting up with all of this foolishness? Real talk the Lord allowed Moses produced water of a rock with the staff he had in his hand. Because the children of Israel in the book of Exodus 17 chided with Moses . They complained and wanted to stone him to death and they mocked God saying is the Lord God Jehovah still with us or not. And so Let’s look at what Jesus saith to the devil. In verse 10

If you want to get stronger against the wiles of the devil, Against the trick and the traps of the devil against the calamities and coo coo crazy chaoic episodes of the devil then you’ve got to get stronger in the word of God. WHY because of the very next verse..The bible say resist the devil and he will flee. You’re going to have to be able to say get thee hence Satan for it is written. You’re going to have to say I may not be all that I ought to be but God word says that I am more than a conqueror through Christ that strengthens me. It is written that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. It is written that Greater is He that lives in me than he that is in the world. it is written that David said thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not son against God. Satan!!! It is written.

John 1:1 tells Satan that you’re talking and insulting the Very Son of God who wrote the word of God because He is the Word of God. He is the Logos.

The devil left Him alone because Jesus had won the spiritual battle of temptation and I noticed that after Jesus won the Battle then the angels came and ministered to Him. And that let’s me know that our guardian angel is always there watching over us all the time. I’m so glad that I’ve got somebody that keep me when I can’t keep myself Um Um His name is Jesus. He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me that I am His own.
