The Mind of Resting: The Promise of Rest Remains!

Rest is a Mindset, Not Just a Moment!

What is Rest? It is a Ceasing from motion, peace, quiet, settle down, stay settled, revive. . .

Your body needs rest, how about your soul? You can sleep, but not get rest. . . “Let The Mind of Christ be also in you!”

Luke 5:16 “16 So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.”

We are created to imitate Jesus, and if He found time to rest, how much more should we exercise the practice?

Jesus withdrew often, not because He could not handle it, nor was He avoiding purpose - His Rest was intentional, so that He would be strengthen to continue on in The Purpose!

Every day you ought to take time to yourself, where you refresh your soul!

What does that Rest look like?

Eating your favorite ice cream

Listening to your favorite song, or album

Reading. . .

God has promised you rest, and whatever it is that helps you settle down, quiet your mind, revive you and bring you peace, then do that!

Many will say; “those are worldly things. .” But remember that God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. . .

Establish your rhythm, so that God will be able to energize you for the next - It is not a luxury, but a Rhythm. . .

Remember, “Ad-Versity” is sent by the prince of the air to get you out of Rhythm - perplex you - causing your mind to become weakened - tempting you to give up!

But when we Rest - The Holy Spirit will remind us of Galatians 6:9 “9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

Rest Gives You Strength to Resist The World’s Systems!

James 4:7 “7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Submitting to God is to realign your heart and mind to His Will!

The reason we are veering off to the left or to the right, is because we don’t go in and get our alignment - we are driving on out of alignment, which is why your hearts are so troubled with getting to what you desire because an unaligned front end, causes you to struggle to keep it in between “the mustard and the mayonaise”

You driving and the steering wheel is bumping so. . . Pull over and get some rest!

Rest is not just sleep, it is required so that you can have strategy in the warfare, and not become passive!

Although we wrestle, it is not against these:

God said to me: “Don’t allow what you think others are thinking to pull you out of Moments with Me!”

You can be in moments where God is sending you instructions for the cause, but miss them because your own imagination has your mind running and just before the last detailed point is given - you become unrest, moving out of place!

True Rest Renews You!

Satan can only attack me from one place and that is from beneath me, because he is under my feet - Therefore, I must realize why I am allowing what is from beneath me or behind me, to affect me so - when I know that God has made me above and not beneath

Jesus has already made the way: Jesus told Peter Luke 22:31–32 “31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.””

You remain in unrest because of unbelief and due to you allowing “That” to keep talking from beneath you and behind you - Whatever your “That” is - you need to quiet it so you can enter into The Rest of God!

Unload those things that are weighing us down - Hebrews 12:1–2 “1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

And cling to Whom has given you The Kingdom, where you have rights!

The reason why you are feeling like you cannot move on is because you are not taking time to seek God for renewal of the mind and heart - Psalm 51:10 “10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

Revelation 22:6–11 “6 Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place. 7 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” 8 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. 9 Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” 10 And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. 11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.””
