Sermon Script:
On Fire for God – Filled with the Word of God
Family, if you want to stay on fire for God—not just for a week, not just after a powerful Sunday service, but every single day—you must be constantly filled with His Word. The Bible isn’t just ink on paper. It’s living… it’s breathing… it’s the voice of God speaking directly to your spirit!
Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
If you want to burn bright for Jesus, you need to build a closer relationship with Him through His Word.
Study it. Memorize it. Psalm 119:11 says, “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.”
Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you as you read. Every word you take in is an opportunity for Jesus to be revealed more clearly in your heart. This isn’t just reading for information—it’s receiving divine revelation.
Here’s the truth: outside of church, only 19% of Christians read their Bible daily. 14% read it once a week. 22% maybe once or twice a month. And 18%? Rarely or never.
But you be different! The Bible is the most exciting, life-changing book you will ever open. Inside its pages, you will find redemption, salvation, healing, power, deliverance, transformation, miracles, wisdom—everything you need to face anything this world throws at you!
Don’t just read the Word—saturate yourself in it. Let it soak into your heart and soul until it becomes your natural response to every situation.
Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…”
Believe what you read—don’t just read what you already believe. Don’t let doubt, culture, or a worldly mindset filter God’s truth. His Word is true. Every single word. It must be taken literally and read in context. Ask: Who was this written to? What do the surrounding verses say? Let the Bible interpret the Bible.
