Relationship - The way in which two or more concepts, objects, or people are connected, or the state of being connected.
What does our believing look like when we approach it from, I’m not trying to earn a relationship but I’m in a relationship.
Flip the perspective… it’s not avoiding sin, pray more, read more, and worship more. It’s stay close to dad. Staying close to him will lead to these things. We look at it from the thought of if I do all these things then I’ll be good enough to be close to Him. When we should look at it as I’m close to Him and that leads to all these things.
Focus on Relationship not Service
Focus on Relationship not Service
Prioritize a close relationship with God over trying to earn favor through actions. Prioritize relationship.
Relationship is for all who want it…Come to Me all who are weary…
We don’t do the stuff for the relationship but rather because of the relationship.

9467 If we try to find lasting joy in any human relationship, it will end in vanity, something that passes like a morning cloud. The true joy of a man’s life is in his relationship to God.

Relationship as the Source of Change
Relationship as the Source of Change
A deeper, more intimate relationship with God leads to personal transformation. Longer and more intimate the relationship the more we are changed by it.
Acts 4:13 “13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.”

Strength from God/Relationship
Strength from God/Relationship
Find strength in the relationship with God, not in changing situations. We are not strengthen by the acts, He is our strengthen, being in relationship with Him. Make sure you get your strength from your relationship with God. Not your situations, they change. Disciples ministry flowed from being close to Dad not I’ll do all this stuff so I can be close to Him.
Proverbs 3:5–6 “5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Don’t stop at falling in love with God’s actions and not God. Keep pursuing till you fall in love with Him! J. Day
Get to the place where you can say I love you, not I love you because. There is a difference.
