Jesus is the most influential man ever to existence.
We think about influencers like Kai Cenat, Mr Beast, Cristiano Ronaldo, Beyonce, ishowspeed all of these influencers none of them even close all put together has as much influence as Christ
Jesus is the greatest influencer to ever live.
We think about influencers that shift culture one way or another.
Jesus shifted the world.
1. Jesus influenced Hospitals & Healthcare
When Jesus was here on earth He cared for the sick and healed people out of His compassion, not profit.
Early Christians followed this model, leading to the creation of charitable hospitals.
Many of the first hospitals in Europe and the U.S. were founded by churches or Christian orders (e.g., St. Jude, Mercy, Baptist Health).
Today, many hospitals still bear Christian names and missions.
🎓 2. Jesus influenced the idea of Education for All
Jesus taught people from all backgrounds — rich, poor, men, women.
This inspired Christian groups to educate not just the elite, but everyone.
Many universities (Harvard, Yale, Oxford) began as Christian institutions for training clergy and scholars.
Guys like Martin Luther the German Christian reformer said, “I tell you, parents who deprive their children of instruction are murderers, worse than child killers. For they murder the soul and mind.”
❤️ 3. Jesus influenced Human Equality & Human Rights
Jesus taught that every person has equal worth (“love your neighbor as yourself,” “whatever you do for the least of these…”).
This idea fueled movements for human rights, abolition of slavery, and civil rights.
It laid the foundation for the belief in universal human dignity — core to modern democracy.
Democracy as we know it was influenced by Jesus.
🕊️ 4. Jesus influenced Charity & Compassion
Before Jesus, charity to strangers wasn't common in many cultures. Charity to the immigrant wasn’t common. But Jesus made it ethical.
He taught people to love enemies, forgive, and care for the poor.
Christian communities created food banks, orphanages, shelters, and aid work — ideas now central to many global charities (e.g., Red Cross, World Vision, ).
💍 5. Jesus influenced the Value of Women & Marriage
Jesus spoke respectfully to women and included them in His ministry — the was radical for His time.
His teaching raised the status of women in cultures where they were often silenced.
Some people think Christianity is oppressive to women. But on the contrary it uplifted and elevated women's rights.
Even in certain cultures and societies women are very oppressed but Jesus highly esteemed women.
ie. Both Mary’s both serving with Jesus and both chosen to be credible witness of the resurrection of Christ.
The Christian model of monogamous, faithful marriage influenced Western marriage norms.
📆 6. Jesus influenced time itself! The Calendar (A.D./B.C.)
The Western world’s calendar is split into B.C. ("Before Christ") and A.D. ("Anno Domini," Latin for “in the year of our Lord”).
This reflects Jesus’ central place in global history.
✝️ 7. Jesus influenced the Moral Framework around the world.
Teachings like the Golden Rule (“Do to others as you would have them do to you”) became universal moral principles.
Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount has influenced laws, ethics, and even civil disobedience movements
Guys like MLK and Gandhi led civil rights movements based on Jesus’s teachings
Jesus sermon on the Mount still shapes history over 2,000 years later. The most influential message ever!
Theres no greater moral ethic then the sermon on the mount. You will be hard pressed to find anything close.
Luke 6:46 NKJV
“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?
I was raised on saying sir no sir. It’s symbolic for respect and honor for those who are older. But I remember I was living on the mission field and one Pastor said why are you saying sir but you don’t respect me.
And I was saying yes sir no sir out of formality but my heart wasn’t in it.
“Good speech without the additional evidence of deeds is of no advantage at all.”
MSG: “These words I speak to you are not mere additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundation words, words to build a life on.”
We build our lives on the word of God. We don’t build our lives and add the word of God.
Christ is not a MERE renovation to your life, but he’s the very foundation of your life.
A fruitful disciple will do what Jesus says.
There is a parallel between confession and obedience.
My confession or profession should always lead me to a life of faith
Matthew 7:21 NKJV
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Luke 8:21 NKJV
But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”
Luke 11:28 NKJV
But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
When the word of God takes root in your heart its something special when it comes out in faith and obedience.
Luke 6:47 NKJV
Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like:
Luke 6:48 NKJV
He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.
Luke 6:49 NKJV
But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”
“The foundation of God’s Word operating in your life will determine the stability of your future—especially when serious trials come your way.” Tony Evans
This story is about a contractor who digs a deep hole, clear down to the bedrock. He fills the hole with a strong foundation laid on top of the bedrock.
Bedrock is the solid rock layer that lies under the soil, sand, or loose material on the earth’s surface.
In Simple Terms:
It’s the strong, unmovable foundation beneath everything else.
Builders prefer to build on bedrock because it’s stable and won’t shift or collapse.
This is what Jesus meant when He talked about building on the bedrock. This unmovable foundations. Building my life on the word of God and putting it into practice. By His Holy Spirit.
The bedrock represents His word and putting His word into practice.
The House represents me, you.
And the flood represents trails, challenges, judgment.
But then you have a unskilled man that built his house out a foundation. And the floods came and sweep away the house.
Because there was no foundation.
The floods came and the house was destroyed.
Matthew 7:25–27 NKJV
and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
How do we build our house on a solid foundation?
Philippians 4:8–9 NKJV
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
He is emphasis here about a wholesome thought life.
In the greek whatever is plural meaning that several things could be introduced under each heading. So when it says whatever things are true. that could be Whatever could be in a church setting, in my alone time, in the family setting, in my word or living the life that the word has communicated.
Whatever things are true.
That which is the opposite of dishonest and unreliable.
Ephesians 4:15 NKJV
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
Ephesians 4:25 NKJV
Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another.
Whatever things are noble.
Noble refers to what is dignified and worthy of respect.
1 Timothy 3:8 NKJV
Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money,
Whatever things are just.
Whatever things are right.
Right referring to conformity of God’s standards.
Whatever things are pure.
Pure refers to what is wholesome, not mixed with immorality.
Matthew 5:8 NKJV
Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.
Whatever things are lovely.
Things that promote peace and not conflict.
Not argumentative or seeking contention or drama.
Whatever things are of good report.
Speaks about whatever things are admirable.
Things that are positive and constructive not negative and destructive.
These six things are considered to be excellent and praiseworthy and they are for us to be fixed and concentrated on.
Philippians 4:9 NKJV
The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
1 Corinthians 11:1 NKJV
Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
Ephesians 5:1–2 NKJV
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
1 Thessalonians 1:6 NKJV
And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,
Hebrews 13:7 NKJV
Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct.
3 John 11 NKJV
Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.
Philippians 3:17 NKJV
Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.
1 Peter 2:21 NKJV
For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
1 Corinthians 4:16 NKJV
Therefore I urge you, imitate me.
Imitation is import because thats what God uses in order to teach us.
Just like a child and they are learning the world around them. They learn by imitating.
