Introduction

Failing: a weakness, especially in character; a shortcoming.

3 Failures to Watch Out For

1. Easily Offended

Matthew 11:1–6

Psalm 119:165

Off - End

A. Offense makes the heart cold and the feet heavy.

2. Easily Intimidated

2 Kings 18:17–20

2 Kings 18:23–28

2 Kings 18:29–31

2 Kings 18:36

B. Followers who are intimidated by the enemy undermine the leader's authority.

3. Easy to be Lazy

Ecclesiastes 10:18

Proverbs 6:6–11

C. Lazy Followers hinder everyone's progress.

Conclusion

Offended Intimidated Lazy = OIL

Offense clogs your oil flow. Intimidation makes you ignore the warning lights. Laziness lets the oil leak away

Confession

Lord help me to walk in Your Oil so that I am an anointed follower not a failing follower. I won't stay offended. I won't be intimidated. I won't  grow lazy. I will follow to the best of my God-given ability. Amen.
