The sequence of thought from purity of heart to peacemaking is natural, because one of the most frequent causes of conflict is intrigue, while openness and sincerity are essential to all true reconciliation.

We also need to understand that seeking to united churches can’t be at the expense bringing sinners to Christ.

In both cases if we compromise the mandates of God we end up offering “cheap peace”, “cheap forgiveness” even sometimes “cheap evangelism.” It these are what we offer people so they will come to know Christ, they will never find out who He really is.

Peacemaking must be authentic as do forgiveness, evangelism and everything else Christ is, because when all the dust clears JESUS IS THE ONLY TRUTH that can bring PEACE>
