COVENANT KEYS TO DININE SETTELMENT (PART 3)
1 Peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Gen. 30:22 And God remembered
Rachel.....
One prayer you must always pray for yourself every time is that God should remember you. Psm. 20:1-4
There is no man God remembered, and he is not settled. Gen. 30:22 and God remembered Rachel and God harkened to her(prayers) and opened her womb.
Exo 2:24. And God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
The people did something- groaning, which is praying with intensity. They didn't fold their hands and expect a call. Psm 89:20-36
Divine settlement has been defined as a state of complete well-being in all areas of life and living.
Men and women who were divinely settled in the Bible took their destinies in their hands. They didn't fold their hands and laze around but were committed to the change they desired.
Men and women like Jabez, Joseph, Hannah, Rachel, and the Israelites in Egypt, Exo 2:24.
We can therefore conclude that to be divinely settled is to be intentional about your desires with faith in God.
Don't forget God will not settle you through. haberlist or any other means outside what His word permits.
COVENANT KEYS TO ENJOYING DIVINE SETTLEMENT
1. Stay in love with God: thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and all thy soul, and with all thy mind and with all thy strength.
This is the first commandment.
Loving God is a prerequisite for operating in the kingdom life. You may be a servant but not a lover, as there are many servants but few lovers.
Every genuine lover protects the interests of his/her lover. God too protects the interests of His lovers by favouring their course.
EVIDENCE OF LOVE
A. Service Exo 23:25-26, Lk 4:8.
If you love God, you will serve Him with delight. You will be interested in everything that will promote His kingdom. You can't be a lover of God and don't get involved in a service unit of your church.
God will not mark titles but service. It does not matter what title you carry; God rewards only service.
Love His house and His people. Psm 26:8. Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
You can't love God and not love His house and His people. If you are still speaking evil or supporting evil speakers about your church and members, then where is your love?
B. Giving .2Cor.9:7
Giving to God is an act of worship, a demonstration of faith, and a means of experiencing God's blessings. It must be done cheerfully.
Giving is a proof of love rather than duty. It is an appreciation and recognition of your source of blessing. Nothing was too big for Father Abraham to give to God and men. Gen. 14:20,22:2,9-10.
Trees don't eat their own fruit, and yet men celebrate them. It is how much you give that determine your worth in life.
2. Enter into a covenant to keep serving God and the interest of His kingdom. 2Chron. 15:12, 19. And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD GOD of 35 years of the reign of Asa
The greatest sin a Believer will commit before God is idolatry. Seeking help from sources not allowed by God.
Exo.20:3, 34:14
