The Lord Is Their Strength

Psalm 28:8

The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

What kind of strength does the Lord provide?

He gives these KINDS of strengths:

I. Saving Strength.

It shows His ability to save.

2 Corinthians 5:14–15 KJV

14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

It shows His availability to save.

Isaiah 59:1 KJV

Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

II. Spiritual Strength.

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

III. Serving Strength.

Anointed people (Israel, the church).

Anointed places (the tabernacle, the temple).

Anointed plan (the gospel).

Anointed Person (The Holy Spirit).

Anointed Potentate (The King Jesus Christ)
