Go and Tell: The Promise of His Presence.

The Promise of Christs presence in and with his church is vital for the churches existence. Without Christs presence we would be teaching and preaching about a savior and salvation that is absent.
Matthew 28:16–17 ESV
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted.
Matthew 28:18 ESV
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
This confirms Jesus presence is everywhere. His authority is acknowledged wherever we may be by the principilaties and powers of this age.
This also ensures the ultimate success of the church in fulfilling the great commission.
The Great Commission refers to Jesus Christ's command to his disciples to spread the gospel and make disciples worldwide, as recorded in various New Testament passages. This mandate emphasizes evangelism, baptism, and teaching obedience to Christ's commands. While the term "Great Commission" has gained prominence in the last two centuries, its explicit influence in early church history is less apparent. The applicability of the Great Commission has been debated throughout church history, with William Carey's 1792 treatise significantly influencing its interpretation as applicable to all believers. The Great Commission is rooted in God's love and plan for humanity's salvation, connecting it to God's promise to Abraham to bless all peoples2. It is empowered by the Holy Spirit and involves witnessing locally and globally23. Some scholars also consider Acts 1:8 as part of the Great Commission, emphasizing the role of the Holy Spirit in enabling believers to be Christ's witnesses.
Acts 1:8 ESV
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Matthew 28:19 ESV
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
We are given direction, when a believer is converted, the outward picture of baptism reveals a spiritual reality.
Being baptized in the Name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit ensures the presence of the Godhead with his church.
2 Corinthians 13:14 ESV
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
John 14:23 ESV
Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
Matthew 28:20 ESV
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
This promises Gods presence will always be with the church. In all times and in every age. comforting the church in its work.
Acts 9:31 ESV
So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.

Always Accompanied by the Almighty

Matthew 28:20b
the comforting assurance provided in this closing promise of Jesus's presence: 'I am with you always, to the very end of the age.' This promise is crucial to understanding the Great Commission's feasibility and hope, reinforcing that the endeavor to spread the Gospel is never undertaken alone. This point can inspire reliance on Christ's continuous presence, encouraging Christians to venture into evangelistic efforts with confidence and perseverance, knowing that His Spirit empowers and accompanies us as we fulfill His mission.
Mark 16:14–20 ESV
Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen. And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.
We need Gods presence today. For the church to fulfill its great commission we must have Christs presence.
Revelation 3:20 ESV
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
