Beautiful Feet

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

To begin with brothers and sisters, Christian Friends, Well Wishers and Saints of God I’m delighted and find it a plum pleasing pleasure to peek and press into the life of the Man of God. I’m incline to preach about Beautiful Feet. It takes a lot to have Beautiful Feet. And Rev Dr Lionel Davis is a Preacher Pastor teacher leader that has beautiful feet.

I’ve been knowing him a long time now and One thing I know He been Born Again.

He is a child of God

He is a messenger of the Cross

He is a preacher of preachers.

He is a solid word Preacher/and teacher. And while I’m saying this Dr. Davis is a faithful minister.

He is a good minister of the Lord Jesus Christ, and

He is a Gospel Preacher. The bible says give honor where honor is due. We honor you today Doc Davis. Can we just give God a hand of praise for this blesseth Man of God?

Rev Dr. Lionel Davis this is your day, and you deserve what ever gifts of love that the body of Christ can bestow upon you. Because you give so much of yourself

And Rev. Dr. Lionel Davis you are a great Pastor. ATCSA.

And the bible says in Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

God sent him here a long time ago to do a good work and the thing about it is that a pastor’s job is never easy there are always sermons to prepare, lectures, funerals christenings, baptisms, revivals and seminars to preach and teach all with the hope of reaching the lost at any cost. ATCSA.

A pastor’s job is never easy when visiting the sick or ministering to those in distress. It’s always somebody sick it’s always somebody in the hospital somewhere. And the bible says when you’re sick let them call for the Elders and the ferverent effectual prayer of a righteous man avails much the sick will recover if it’s God’s will.

When the Pastor is teaching the bible studies or simply giving spiritual advice, he gives it his all and nothing less. That’s why the bible says to study to show thy self approved a workman who needeth not be ashamed, but rightly diving the the word of truth.

God gives His Pastor Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

A pastor’s job is never easy when he paces the floor during the wee wee hours of the morning just to recieve a message from on high that designed to teach the church to love one another and not hate each other , to forgive and forget because holding on to the past stops your future potential. The pastor works untiringly to do God’s will God’s work God’s way. ATCSA

Well I think that Pastor Lionel Davis is a good Pastor and the Word PASTOR has some special ACRONYMNS that I’d like to share with us.

P. He pours his all into winning souls for Christ. Because the bible says he who wins souls is wise.

A. He accepts all challenges without fail. Because Dr Davis says I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.

S. He studies the word to be able to teach us that we may learn. because the bible says to study to show thyself approved a workman who needs not be ashamed but right dividing the word of truth.

T. He takes the time to teach and listen and minster to the needs of the congregation.

O. He observes a lot he’s always aware of his surroundings. And God gives him the spirit of discernment.

R. Pastor just remembers that pastors are human being too and we all have our breaking point. So pastor Davis don’t let ministry work run you in the ground.

In our theme passage of scripture in Romans 10:14 text I see a few things. Let’s read the text again Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

#1. Can I tell you a few things about a Pastor. the bible says that Pastor Paul says in verses 1&2 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

Pastor Paul pastor prays for them because on the outside it look like they got it going on but deep down within they don’t really know the Lord like they ought to know God. And in 2025 a Pastor knows that everybody ain’t really God it like they ought to… Come on say Amen Y’all remember Hezekiah when he became king? Hezekiah prayed to God that the children of Israel could take the passover without being punished by God because he knew that they were not where they ought to be.

Moses prayed for God to spare the children of Israel because they were trying to follow the mix multitude that had come with them from Egypt. And sometimes it’s got the wrong folk in church for the wrong reason making good church folk do bad things. ATCSA.

Joshua had a serious talk with the church because some people were doing right and some people were doing wrong. And Joshua said to the congregation my feet are going to stay beautiful because as for me and my house we are going to serve the Lord. In other words I’m on the Lord’s side no matter what the world may do.

And Pastor it’s got people who do things their own way. And I’ve discovered that even in this day and time when you see folk not following protocols the way God’s word say( Most of the time is because they just don’t know no better or won’t do no better) Some folk just won’t do no better. They'll be ignorance on purpose so that their willful, stubborn resistance to the truth stands up tall in them.

Pastor Paul had a job on his hand because

#1.The Roman church would not submit to God.

#2.The Roman Church folk were proud of their own good works and their own religious self-righteousness, and

#3. The Roman Church would not admit their sins and trust our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Pastor Davis I know it ain’t got none here but Pastor it’s got people who will never admit that they have done wrong.

Paul had a hard job on his hands. And Doc Davis if Paul had a hard time with the Roman church that he founded then you know that in 2025 sometimes we are going to catch hell sometimes too.

And that why Dr. Davis, you’ve got to preach when they want to hear you and preach more so when they don’t want to hear the truth of God’s word.

Doc you’ve got to preach to them that God’s mercies are fresh and new every morning.

Doc you’ve got to preach to them that life and death are in the power of your tongue.

Doc you’ve got to preach to them Is there anything too hard for my God.

Doc you’ve got to preach to them that trouble can’t last always and that this too shall past.

Doc you’ve got to preach to them He may not come when you want Him but He’s always on time

Doc you’ve got to preach to them to be still and know that I am God and I’m God all by myself and I don’t need your help to fix it.The song writer said let Jesus fix it for you for he knws just what to do whenever you pray let him have his way and he’ll fix it Won’t He do it.?

Doc you’ve got to preach to them to wait on the Lord and be of good cheer for ye shall reap if you faint not And they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint. tell them wait on the Lord

Doc you’ve got to preach too them to come boldly before the throne of Grace that they may obtain mercy

Doc you’ve got to preach to them that God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind.

Doc you’ve got to Preach to them that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life.

Doc you’ve got t preach to them to Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Doc you’ve got to preach to them that Jesus said if you want to see the Kingdom of heaven you’ve got to Born again.

Doc you’ve got to preach to them that weeping may endure for a night but Joy comes in the morning.

Salvation Is for Everyone

In verse Romans 10: 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; Paul is quoting from Deuteronomy 30:14 which says “But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

Because if you’re not preaching the word of Faith in Jesus Christ You’re not preaching what going to save the people. ATCSA

Then there is the introduction to the word preach.

Everybody say Preach.

The word Preach in the Greek is the Keyrusso. The Keyrusso is duty bound to tell it like it is… The preacher, the proclaimer, the poiman, the shepherd, the minister, the priest, the presbytery the pastor, and yes The Keyrusso need to be fully persuaded that the Word He Preaches is Life.

In other words this Bible is Alive. And Moses in Deuteronomy 30:15 says Dr. Davis tell them what God says “See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

Next the bible says in Romans 10: 9-11

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

In every message there is always an appeal for discipleship the word says Brothers and sisters

#1. The only way unbelieving person can be saved is by calling on the Lord.

#2. Before they can call on Him, they must believe in Him.

# 3. Truly we must believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the Son of God and the Messiah of the world.

#4. Paul said that the Christian must believe in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.

#5 .But in order to believe, they must hear the Word, because it is the Word that creates faith in the heart of the hearer. The bible says that (Rom. 10:17). Then the text says 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. God is no respect of persons what He did for one He can do for another. ATCSA

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved

. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

This means that a heralder a preacher a keyrusso of the God’s Word must be sent, and it is the Lord who does the sending. God sent Pastor Davis here and we honor you today Doc.

The bible says in Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

I see a few things and I’m out of here.

#1. How do you know if what you’re preaching is the right thing? You’ll know it’s right because the Pastor will stay in constant contact with the Lord and God will talk to Him and I’ve found that God will even instruct you in your night seasons. Pastor Davis while you’re sleeping God will talk to you.

#2. The word of Power says except he be sent. That means that You got to be sent by God to do this vocational calling. This ain’t like no regular job. You’re on call 24/7 You can get a call in the middle of the night and as the pastor you got to respond.

#3. The bible says How beautiful are the feet of the preachers/ pastors/ priests/ Poimans/ presbytery that preach the word of God.

I believe that God made preachers to have beautiful feet.

Start Closing

There was a story about a prophet by the name of Elijah um um um

(FD) Who went to, yes Lord Zarephath And the bible says that Lord had already commanded that a widow woman would sustain him there. Oh Lord And

The widow woman of Zarephath was a preacher’s wife Yes And I heard Elijah saying good evening sister I wonder would you mind giving me a cool cup of water

And I heard her say yea no problem man of God um um And while she was going to get Elijah some cool water I heard Elijah saying and sister while you’re at it give me a little something to eat Oh Lord!

And the sister said I out here gathering sticks to make a fire, And I am going to fix me and my baby boy our last meal Mr. Preacher.

But tah Elijah said said go on and fix your food woman of God and Then Elijah said But Feed Me First.… Give me mine right off the top before you take a bite of the cake give me mine first. And Elijah said Because the Lord sent me here to be a blessing to you. Yes. Elijah said I promise you if you honor the man of God first, My God will supply your every need.. Oh LORD! And the bible says that the meal never ran out and the cruse of oil never ran dry.

And the bible says that Elijah and the widow and her son ate for many days.… I’ve got to close here now but if you love respect honor and take care of your pastor

GOD WILL OPEN THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN ANDPOUR YOU OUT A BLESSING THAT YOU DON’T HAVE THE ROOM TO RECIEVE.

And the beautiful feet of Elijah that preached the Gospel of Peace, Oh Lord ! #x He brought glad tidings of good things! Ain’t God Alright.
