Breast Plate of Righteousness - Ephesians 6:14

Basic:

“Spiritual warfare” has to do with the unseen forces of evil led by Satan (the Devil), that are at work in the world today to: TEMPT, DECEIVE, DISCOURAGE, AFFLICT, and even HARM people.

Who is Satan? 1Peter 5:8; 2 Corinthians 3:5; Revelation 12:9; John 8:44

Satan intends only harm for people, especially for followers of Christ.

Satan wants unbelievers happy to be living in the world, so they may die in their sins, eternally separated from God.

Satan wants Believers frustrated in living for the Lord. 1. Satan seeks to destroy and divide a. Your life b. Your marriage c. Your family d. Your faith e. Your church

Ephesians 6:10–14 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,”

The reason for putting on the armor is to STAND against the devil with God’s strength. Don’t go and pick a fight with the devil, like the sons of Sceva found in Acts 19:11-16. You will get beat up.
