Intro

a man with no country

called in the first few chapters from the Che bar canal
the first group of exiles to Babylon taken before the siege of Jerusalem
a people downtrodden in awful circumstance with seemingly no hope
their sin has led them to this place but likely many blame the absence of their God and refuse to hear him just as they did before

a disgusting illustration

chapter 4
an illustration of the siege and the people who caused it
chapter 24
loses his wife to show the loss of relationship between God and his people
yet he carries on as the prophet

an image of hope

chapter 37
the bones become flesh in the valley
God has the power to do all of this and so much more
God is in control of the narrative of this world
he is working for good if I can step out side of my pitiful self to see him working
God can restore life and hope to the hopeless, no matter how dry the bones
thats what makes him God

Application

what I needed to hear
the time for change has never passed
there is hope worth struggling for in every circumstance
