The Good Samaritan

Idioms & Idiots - People misunderstand sayings.

Curiosity killed the cat.
Imitation is the best flattery.
Don’t try to be a good Samaritan.

“A Good Samaritan” - Actually means unbiased kindness.

Culture: a straight laced goody two-shoes.
The history of the Samaritans.
True meaning: the most generous but least expected helper.

The Point of the Parable - Is who you show love to.

Prompted by the question, “Who is my neighbor?”
Asked by a Pharisee, the best of their time.
The victim was the least deserving of the Samaritan’s kindness.
The point is more than, help roadside victims and don’t be racist.
The point is to count the least deserving as still deserving of love.

The Masterwork of Humanity - Is the greatest love to the least deserving.

Books of Literature: Show wisdom in how you love.
Measure of Faith: Don’t reject radical love because you can’t do it perfectly.
Point of life - greatest commands - nature of love: Start small and grow big.
