Church, let me tell you something!
Drama is a thief.
It sneaks in through the cracks of our homes, our schools, our friendships, and even our churches.
It whispers lies, stirs up strife, and steals the peace God intends for us.
But today, we stand at a crossroads.
Will we continue to carry the heavy burden of drama, or will we say, “Good Bye Drama!” and step into the freedom God has for us?
Picture the school hallways, the family dinners, the social media feeds—sometimes they feel like battlefields, don’t they?
But God’s Word says there is a better way.
There is a way to live peaceably, to overcome evil with good, to break the cycle of conflict and chaos.
Tonight, we begin that journey together.
The Destructive Power of Drama

Drama divides.
Drama destroys.
It pits friend against friend, parent against child, neighbor against neighbor.
The Bible warns us in Proverbs 6:16-19 about things the Lord hates—among them, sowing discord among brothers.
Brothers and sisters, drama is discord in disguise.
It masquerades as excitement, but it leaves behind broken relationships and wounded hearts.
Is there anybody here who knows the pain of a friendship torn apart by gossip?
Or the tension in a family dinner where words are weapons?
Drama is a spiritual enemy that feeds on our fears, insecurities, and pride.
But God calls us to a higher standard.
The Call to Peaceable Living

Romans 12:18 says, “If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.”
Church, that word “possible” means it’s not always easy, but it is our responsibility.
We cannot control others, but we can control how we respond.
Peace is not the absence of conflict; peace is the presence of God in the midst of conflict.
Jesus said in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.”
That peace is a shield against the storms of drama.
Parents, teach your children to be peacemakers, not troublemakers.
Teenagers, you have the power to choose peace over petty fights, forgiveness over grudges.
The Power of Forgiveness to End Drama
The Power of Forgiveness to End Drama
Drama thrives on bitterness and unforgiveness.
Ephesians 4:31-32 commands us to “put away all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the prison of drama.
It doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing wrongs, but it means releasing the hold that pain has on your heart.
Church, forgiveness is a gift you give yourself as much as to others.
When you forgive, you say, “Good Bye Drama!” and “Hello Freedom!”

Sometimes, saying “Good Bye Drama” means saying “No” to toxic relationships and situations.
Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, “Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare.”
Parents, guide your children to set healthy boundaries.
Teenagers, learn to walk away from drama before it pulls you under.
Boundaries are not walls of isolation; they are fences of protection.
They guard your heart and preserve your peace.

Finally, church, we cannot say “Good Bye Drama” in our own strength.
Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer is our lifeline.
When drama threatens to overwhelm, lift your voice to God.
Ask Him for wisdom, patience, and peace.
He is faithful to answer.

Application
My brothers and sisters, as we shift our focus to removing Drama out of our lives, I want you to ask yourself:
What drama am I holding onto?
What grudges, what conflicts, what bitterness are weighing me down?
Are you ready to say “Good Bye Drama” today?
How can we accomplish this?
We can choose peace over conflict in our daily interactions.
We can practice forgiveness, even when it’s hard.
We can set healthy boundaries to protect our heart.
We can pray without ceasing for God’s peace to fill our life.
& We can surround ourselves with positive influences who uplift and encourage us.
Remember, drama is a weight, but peace is a wing.
Let God lift you above the noise and chaos.

As I close, hear me church, God is a God who calls us out of the chaos, out of the confusion, out of the conflict, and into His peace!
So I might be in the middle of Drama, but:
Despite the noise around me, there is peace in my heart!
Despite the fights I’ve seen, there is forgiveness in my soul!
Despite the gossip that tries to tear me down, there is strength in my spirit!
Despite the pain of broken relationships, there is healing in my life!
Despite the pressures of school and family, there is calm in my mind!
Despite the battles I face, there is victory in my God!
Good Bye Drama!
Good Bye Strife!
Good Bye Bitterness!
Hello Peace!
Hello Forgiveness!
Hello Freedom!
Church, can I get a witness?
Say it with me: Good Bye Drama!
Good Bye Drama!
Good Bye Drama!
Because the God we serve is a God of peace, a God of restoration, a God who makes all things new!
So let us walk out of here today, not carrying the weight of drama, but walking in the power of God’s peace!
