Exodus 16:5 Why did the children of Israel have to gather twice as much on the 6th day?

How can we gaurd our times of worship and reflection (sabbath) from work, leisure,family and responsibilities?

Exodus 16:4 God test the obedience of the Israelites and their ability to follow instructions. How many times in life have we sought God’s provision while rejecting HIS instruction? Give examples.

God supplied the needs of Israel Exodus 16:14-16. Manna was a free gift to nourish the Israelites. Let’s see how Jesus shows up even in this story?

48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

Exodus 16:16 and omer is a tenth of an epaph (35 l also known as a bushel) which is about 3.5l

5. Other than before the sabbath, manna could not be stored (Exodus 16:17-22). Why do you think God designed it like this? Why do you think the Israelites disobeyed? What can we learn from this event?
