The Lord Will Fight For You Be Still

MAYBE JUST EXOGETE GEN 14 FOR THE WHOLE SERMON

When we walk in obedience, God steps in as our defender.

He doesn’t need our strength — He asks for our surrender.

Visual Analogy: A child hiding behind a parent during danger — not because they’re weak, but because they trust the one who protects.

1. God Fights For The Faithful!

Exodus 14:14

Perhaps you could emphasize how Moses' words to the Israelites remind us that God actively works on our behalf. At the Red Sea, Israel was told to stand firm and witness God's deliverance. This illustrates how we, too, can be still and trust that God combats our battles, which brings peace and assurance despite overwhelming situations.

Open with Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

3 points from the story of exodus 14

What seemed so impossible for them to do..... (Cross the red sea) God made it possible!!! (Ex 14) So trust that and BE STILL

2. When you are on the Lords side and you let Him fight for you............... satan will see it and flee from you just like the Egyptians fled from the Israelites! And just like he fled Jesus in (Matt 4:1-11) (Exodus 14:25), (James 4:7)

3. When your on the Lords side, He will give you the victory! God always wins! He has defeated satan and promises us as overcomers a hope of heaven! so trust that, BE STILL, (Romans 8:31) (Rev 21:1-4)

and look at the victories God has done for you and let that drive you to fear the Lord just like the Israelites! (Exodus 14:30-31)
