Light and Love in the Shadows

Ye though i Walk in the shadow of death

Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Complete Darkness forces us to look within

1 John 4:4 “Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

Genesis 1:3–4 “And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.”

God is Light

1 John 1:5–6 “This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.”

Literal Light: Sunlight and Moonlight

Symbolic Light = Life, prosperity happiness divine favor

Moral Light = Goodness, Righteousness and Spiritual illumination

God is Love

1 John 4:16 “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”

Action over emotion

Surender to love to to experience the power of its fulness

God sent Christ to bring light and love to the shadow of death

John 3:16 ““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

John 8:12 “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.””

Love never ends

1 Corinthians 13:4–8 “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.”

Light pierces through darkness

Light reveals to us truth in the places that feel unknown

Light shines through the shadow of death

Love in bondage- Love has the Power to break the chains of oppression

Love Exiled - Love has the power to reconcile us to promise

Love in Fire - Love has the power

Love in the Grave- Love has the power to resurrect from the grave
