2 Corinthians 10:4 HNT:NT

4 but we do not make war according to the flesh—for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful to throw down strongholds—we throw down reasonings and every rampart that erects itself against the knowledge of God,

Demolishing walls of resistance in people’s mind

Fortress- Walls of justification 

Once pulled down, the argument can be removed. 

You can’t beat the contrary thought until you first pull down the stronghold. 

Jericho- Knock the walls down, and you will defeat the enemy

Emotions are the mortar that hold your thoughts right or wrong together. Justification is a thought with emotion holding it together.

A Stronghold is to have a wrong thought, that is fueled and held together by justification.

Mark 10:17–22 “17 Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” 18 So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. 19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ ” 20 And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.” 21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” 22 But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.”

Before a stronghold is developed, a reasoning existed, and before that a high thing, and before that a thought.

Transformation

If we submit the high thing, it will never become argument.

1. Bring the thought to obedience of Christ!

2. Submit Yourself to God

3. Cast down the idol worshiping argument!

Don’t ignore it deal with it. Take authority over it!

4. The Word carries the will and power to pull down strongholds, Follow His Plan!

Mark 4:24 AMP

24 And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.

What are you going to do about it?

How can I pray for you?
