2025 Goal: Disciples who make disciples.

Anyone remember this?! :D

We need to think Biblically about all things.

Walking through the book of Job we started to try and think through what the Bible really teaches about pain, suffering, hardships and who God is.

Vocation-seeing our “jobs” as part of our calling from Jesus.

Work can be holy. Not in the traditional sense but in the Biblical sense of being set apart for Christ.

We need to be fully committed to the work.

Paul states, “work with all your heart”. Now there will always be days when this is not easy but the common expression should be true for us.

Our work is not about us!

Paul in his words to slaves, and masters, of the day reminds us of this truth.

Remember who the TRUE master is—Jesus!

We are to be a slave to Christ not our jobs, not our families, not our churches but to the only true Lord and Savior. The words “Lord Christ”

We all receive an inheritance.

In a reversal of analogies we are reminded that even when we are “slaves to Christ” it is not in the traditional slavery context. We still get an inheritance.

Jesus is the center.

This is the key.

What is Jesus calling you to do?

This is a question I want you to ponder. We are starting a series on working in the church and using the gifts. We need to ask not what do we want to do but what does Jesus want us to do.
