Jesus bemoans the situation, Pope JP I sees that not much has changed.
are we aware of our ambition for the Kingdom?
Why not?
Why are those who labor for wealth, power and fame working harder than we are?
Not to work ourselves to death
but to be intentional missionaries.
Have we become complacent about the need to expose the world to God’s love and mercy?
Do we need to hear again Jesus’ complaint?
Luke 16:8 (ESV-CE)8 The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light.
Lord, fill us with the fire of your love, fill us with desire to make you known in every corner of the world; especially in light of the hatred faced by your children everywhere: in Ethiopia, Ukraine and Minneapolis.
