1 kings 19:1-9

Introduction: Are you going to quit or are you going to finish?
There are Lessons that need to be Personalized 5-6
We learn many lessons by reading the biographies and autobiographies of Christians who have gone before us.
We learn many lessons from those we watch and learn from during our life time.
There must come moments of personal experience also...
God knows what we Need
God knows when we Need it
God knows how to get it to us
God knows how to take care of His children
Where He guides He provides
There are Limits that need to be Pushed 7
“it is enough” this is all I can do, I’m tired, I’m done, I can’t go any further…. God I’m done…
God said, no your not..the journey it to great for you but don’t forget that you got a great God.
isn’t just a statement about Elijah’s physical exhaustion. It’s a profound theological and pastoral insight into the reality of human limitation in the face of divine calling.
It speaks of being beyond one’s capacity.
God doesn’t call us to carry it alone.
God doesn’t call the qualified—He qualifies the called. • Limitations are not liabilities in the Kingdom; they’re invitations for divine partnership.
There is an Legacy that needs to be Passed 15-16
Elijah, if you quit who will give your mantle to Elisha? nobody will
Other people need you to keep going.
Elijah could not have passed his legacy on to Elisha if he quit.
God doesn't fit the mantle to the man, He fits the man to the mantle
Elisha didn’t just inherit Elijah’s role; he inherited his spiritual legacy, his boldness, and his intimacy with God.
It’s not just about passing tasks; it’s about passing identity, authority, and divine purpose.
You’re not just delegating—you’re imparting. And like Elijah, you’re preparing others to carry the mission forward with clarity, courage, and conviction.
