Welcome to Family
WELCOME We have come together in the presence of God and family to celebrate the uniting of and by marriage on this 17th day of August 2024.CadeLaney
Prayer
Our Father, we thank You for the gift of marriage, for the beauty of intimate companionship, a companionship in which we can know and be known, in which we can share freely and be accepted completely. Thank You for this taste of Your great unconditional love for us. May the commitment being voiced by and today in this ceremony reflect uniquely to the world your great love and bring glory to Your name. Amen“CadeLaney
Message
The institution of marriage was first set forth by God in the Garden of Eden. God created Adam, perfect in every way and placed him in a perfect environment, yet with a need—the need for companionship and fellowship. God Himself said, “It is not good for the man to be alone” (Gen. 2: 18 NASB).
Solomon says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? 12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Marriage is more than just companionship. Marriage is a beautiful picture of two people, from two different families coming together to be one because of the love that they have for one another. It is a beautiful sight to see two families now being brought together because of love. While its true that some may marry for prestige, some may marry for money, it is love that makes a marriage something beautiful. Today, Cade and Laney take their next step in their relationship before you all because of their love for one another.
The kind of love that is required for a marriage is the love that Paul speaks of in 1 Corinthians 14:4-8 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends.
Both Cade and Laney, because of their love are now entering into the sacred bonds of marriage, which God holds in high regard. It is important to remember that God made it clear that when the two come together in marriage, they now become one. Cade and Laney are no longer living life for themselves individually, but first for God, then for each other. The two becoming one also has implications for other family members as well. It means that a son and daughter are leaving, in a sense, the family to become a family of their own. Of course this doesn’t mean family isn’t family but God makes it clear that something new has begun when a man and woman come together in marriage. Cade and Laney will need help and encouragement from all of their family to pursue their marriage and establish their family.
And As this new chapter begins for Cade and for Laney .. it must start with God being at the center, it must start with the intention of God being glorified. For that is what sustains a marriage.
Prayer of Blessing
Exchanging of Vows
In the name of God, I, Cade, take you, Laney, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death.
In the name of God, I, Laney, take you, Cade, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death.

Presentation of the Rings
May I have the rings please? Every covenant has a sign or a symbol to remind each party of the responsibilities he or she brings to the covenant relationship. These rings are symbols of your love. These rings are visible reminders to you and all others that what you have promised, you will do. Wear them as a constant reminder that you are pledged together and committed to one another for life.
, place the ring on the wedding finger of your bride and repeat after me: This ring I give to you as a reminder of my love. And I pledge to you my loyalty and devotion, for all of my life.”Cade
