Lev 25:1-22. Tony van Drimmelen. The Christian faith is a celebrating faith. Among Christians it is part of our culture and the way we do life together. The brokenness of our world and our sinful nature too quickly corrupts even the best of our celebrations. By going back to the days of ancient Israel we see what God had put in place so that His people would always remember to be holy and celebrate with joy and thankfulness. How do we apply the gospel to our celebrations today? And how do we avoid the party spirit and excesses associated with celebrations at this time of the year? One way to do this is to look at 2017 as a year of jubilee!
