13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

In a world of those who reject Jesus and worship other god’s, Jesus tells Peter that no Earthly power will overcome the church.
The promise for you and I is in 1 John 4.4
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Just remember when you are facing trials in your life that with Jesus we have the victory.
Keep looking to Him, and pointing others to Him. You say how do I point others to Jesus. By living a life that reflects Him, even when you cannot vocalize HIs name. They will see Jesus in you.
If you do not know Him, today I want you to know that He loves and died for you. If you will come to Him, He will change your life.
