Faith is defined as belief with strong conviction. It is a firm belief in something for which there may be no tangible proof—complete trust, confidence, reliance, or devotion. Faith is the opposite of doubt.

"Webster's New World College Dictionary" defines faith as "unquestioning belief that does not require proof or evidence; unquestioning belief in God.

What Is Faith?

Faith is the means by which believers come to God and put their trust in Him for salvation. 

God provides believers with the faith needed to believe in Him:

Eph:2:8-9—-For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Heb:11:1—-1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Heb: 11:6—-6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
