I want to take a minute to talk about being stronger together. I don’t know if you know it or not but Greater Detroit is alive and well! Glory to God!

Somebody look at your neighbor and say “we’re on the move”! Yes are on the move and if we are to keep momentum and excel….. UNITY is KEY!

What is Unity?

u·ni·ty/ˈyo͞onədē/noun

1. the state of being united or joined as a whole.

Unified is not uniform

David tells us that it is both Good and pleasant for brother to dwell together in unity! Unity is like the oil running down on the head of Aaron.

Annointed from Above. The oil is both an aromatic and liquid substance that represents the annointing. His Spirit and His favor. It shows an oveflowing illustration of spiritual abundance and blessing, all produced from togetherness! And we will notice that the oil comes from above the priest. TYNS: My annointing is from above. If we are going to be Unified God has to be in it!Unity comes from the Godhead and it is both.

Unity is this illustration flows downwards. Signifying that it flows from God, To the Priest, Then to the people

Watch this… When pastors get together and promote togetherness in our churches, our members will follow. I’m excited about the progress that is in this fellowship and in the Greater Detroit Area! God is on the move! Souls are being saved. Lives are being changed because we have unity! Yes the oil, the relationship we have is precious!

There is an anointing in Unity Psalm 133

If we are going to walk in what God has called us to in this season. We need two things:

I. The Power of Agreement

How can two walk together… Amos Says:

Amos 3:3 NKJV

3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

If we are going to take the world for the kingdom like we are called to, We have to be in one accord.

Mission:

To be a "Christ-exalting, holiness, Spirit-filled, all-nations, disciple-making, church-planting movement with a passion for Christian union"

Christ Exalting:

Every day we are working to make sure that Jesus is glorified in all we do! Every song We sing! Every prayer we Pray!

Holiness:

We declare that we commit to live by a God honoring standard. And when we fall, we pick up the banner and keep marching to lift of Jesus! We are a light to show the world that Christ still reigns in the hearts of his church!

Spirit-filled:

I don’t know about you, but we still believe in the power of the Holy Ghost to save the sinner and heal the sick.

All Nations:

Power Principle: Even when don’t speak the language of our neighbor, we all speak the language of worship!

Whether we say:

Glory to God!

Gloria a Dios!

Greater Detroit We are better Together! I grew up in a time when if one had, all had. If we are going to take Detroit and Michigan we have to learn to lean on each other!

You see the enemy’s plan is to:

keep us fighting by ourself.

To keep pastor’s isolated and depressed

Keep us focused on our own issues

Declaration: But I delcare that the season of just surviving is over! “I see a season where our focus is shifting from keeping the doors open to opening new doors!”

We are a church planting, disciple making body. We have to make disciples for the Harvest.

We have to sow fresh vision:

If we can change what we see, we will change what we say

If we can change what we say, we’ll change how we sow

II. A Passion to Pursue

1 Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, 2 and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way. 3 So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. 4 Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep. 5 And David’s two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite, had been taken captive. 6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. 7 Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, “Please bring the ephod here to me.” And Abiathar brought the ephod to David. 8 So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

keep the main thing the main thing!

We are Christ exalting holiness movement that seeks…

We have to give toward the goal. We have to bring our best to contribute to the goal and sometimes give up our personal preference… 

we need to actively pursue the kingdom agenda. We can’t just hope it will happen. We have to pray, plan and practice

There is a real enemy fighting the kingdom agenda. But there is a real God pushing it forward. There are real souls passionately pursuing it. There must be real saints ready for war! ((Spiritual ware fare)
