Jesus spoke – good thoughts? opinion? topics?

Jesus spoke – the Words of God

He spoke and people gathered

They were hungry and thirsty

They needed God and Jesus spoke God’s words

People listened

People responded

People wanted more

They listened to God’s word AND God’s word was enough

Not the first time:

Genesis 6 – God spoke. Noah listened. God’s word was enough

Genesis 12 – God spoke. Abram listened. God’s word was enough.

Exodus 3 – God spoke. Moses listened. God’s word was enough.

Joshua 1 – God spoke. Joshua listened. God’s word was enough.

Judges 6 – God spoke. Gideon listened. God’s word was enough.

Jonah 3 God spoke to evil Ninevah. They listened. God’s word was enough.

Luke 4:31- to 5:1

Concentration 5:1 – People gathered around listening

Not the first time people gathered around

Luke 2 shepherds gathered around

- Priests in the temple gathered around

Luke 4 and 5 The people of Caperneum listened to him.  Why?

Because God spoke. They listened. God’s word was enough.

Who listened?

Demons listened.

Families of sick people listened.

The towns People wanted him to stay.

They listened.

Because GOD spoke, THEY listened and GOD’s word was enough.

Luke 5:1 People are listening to him. – Why

Because Jesus had the words of God.

God was speaking.

They were listening.

because

God’s word WAS enough

God’s word IS enough

Jesus WAS enough –

Jesus IS enough.

He is the son of God and God is enough.

I worry about what must I do

What technique

What trick but

God speaks, I listen, God’s word is enough.

Jesus speaks, I listen, Jesus is enough

John 12:12-32

He is enough.

He will draw all men to himself.

Jesus will draw men to Jesus

God’s word will draw men

Jesus is enough

God’s word is enough

Will I listen?

God’s words will draw men to himself

Jesus is lifted up and will draw all men to himself

Am I lifting Jesus up?

Is your life lifting Jesus up?

If not why not?

If something is stopping me – why?

Remove it.

God’s speaks.
