He ministered and preached at Morrowville Christian Church in Morrowville Kansas and met and married his wife Shari there. Scott later ministered at Literberry Christian Church (1979-82), and First Christian Church (1982-1986), both in Illinois, while he attended Lincoln Christian Seminary. He graduated in 1984 with a Master of Divinity. In 1986 Scott and his family moved to Hamilton Ontario to plant Mountain View Christian Church, where he continues to preach, teach, and minister today. He continued his studies with Lincoln Christian Seminary, earning an M.A. in apologetics in 1990; Engaged in Postgraduate Studies at The Institute for Christian Studies in Toronto (1989-90); and was a PhD candidate (ABD) from The South African Theological Seminary (2008-10). Scott has taught at Ontario Christian Seminary (now closed) in Toronto, and Maritime Christian College in P.E.I. as well as numerous conferences and summer camps over the years. Scott is passionate about Christian Higher Education. He created Shepherds College to equip Christians and future Church leaders with solid and sound biblical knowledge for ministry in Canada and beyond.
