-Insecure now
-God is equipping

We all want to know our calling in life

Do you know God’s calling on your life?
God has an assignment for each of his children
An assignment that will bring Him glory in your own unique way

1 Corinthians 7:17

Persevere in Place

Know God’s call and walk in obedience

could be a career
just a general call as a Christian

Called to be a Christian

Remaining faithful God vs seeking external validation/change
Worldly signs of success

Judges 6:1-11

Exodus
repetitive cycle of disobedience and idolatry
even after God delivered them from slavery
The Israelites were not content with their circumstances and seeked external validation

Judges 6:11-24

God raised up Gideon
He was a part of the least significant clan
He was the least important in his family
Angel greets him as a “mighty Hero”

God’s call supersedes every social standing and situation

even if it doesnt make sense from our perspective
God called Gideon a mighty hero
he was called to greatness even though his circumstances didn't make sense alongside God’s call

Peace in promise

Gideon transforms from timidity to embracing God’s identity from divine reassurance
God does not abandon his assignments
The peace offered to Gideon is a promise to all who respond to God’s call with faith

Jeremiah 1:4-8

Jeremiah’s calling still holds true today
We may not be called to be prophets to nations, but we all known by God before we were formed in our mother’s womb.

God deeply knows you and cares for you

He knows your skills
He knows your personality
He knows your future better than you do
Jeremiah felt inadequate, just like I have
God equips those who he calls

You will never miss God’s calling on your life if you are looking for it
