In the Beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
1 Samuel 2:29 “29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?”
Genesis 41:2 “2 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.”
Dont make sense? Yea,...
Creation… Every thing we need to know was set up from the beginning. Principles, truths about God, Love and power of God.
John 1:1–3 “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” 1 John 1:1 “1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;” Colossians 1:16 “16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:” Hebrews 1:10 “10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:”
God made it all. God step by step created everything.
slowly brought forth an environment for one being to flourish. Step by step
Chaos reigned! Genesis 1:2 “2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
Toho v boho. Without form and worthless (our lives)
I want to show you a pattern.
First set- Separating and defining Light and darkness
action
Genesis 1:1 “1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:3–5 “3 And God said, Let there be light (Shechinah glory?): and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”
In state of chaos was a revelation of the light. Light was divided from the darkness
Isaiah 9:2 “2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: They that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.”
Filling
Genesis 1:14–15 “14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.” Genesis 1:18–19 “18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.”
God filled the light and darkness with order. Order that could be expected ,looked to. A rule of order. Sun comes up and down, moon thru cycles, earth through seasons.
Hebrews 13:8 “8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Malachi 3:6 “6 For I am the Lord, I change not; ..Psalm 102:27 “27 But thou art the same, And thy years shall have no end.”
In creation, God revealed light and separated it from darkness and established order.
2nd Set-Sky from Sea
action
Genesis 1:6–8 “6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”
hebrew mindset of seas. Mayim is all the waters, Yam is Individual bodies of water. all fear, death, spirits. It is the physical representation of the chaos that covered the earth. All darkness and evil.
God split all of these and formed and atmosphere in the middle of this expanse of fear and death. An atmosphere that could and would sustain life.
Filling
Genesis 1:20–23 “20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.”
God placed life in the fear. He had the fear, death, and all of the negativity bring forth life and life sustaining elements
3rd set- land from sea
Action
Genesis 1:9–10 “9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:13 “13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.”
God caused the places of fear, death and chaos to removed from the land. from it the solidity and life producing land emerged. A place where not only a man could survive. He could thrive.
Only after it emerged from the water that it was capable of providing food for life. Had it stayed in the water, there would have been no place for life to thrive.
filling
Genesis 1:24–25 “24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
4th set
After these three actions and these three fillings
1)among the chaos, light revealed and darkness separated. order in the middle of Chaos
2) an atmosphere was created in the middle of the Chaos where man could survive
3) from the chaos arose new life situations. Ones that are conducive to Man thriving. Chaos is always there and always present but it has a boundary Jeremiah 5:22 “22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?”
Chaos above and around. Isaiah 43:2 “2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; Neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”
BUT the Situation is perfect for Man.
Action
Genesis 1:26–28 “26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 2:7 “7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Gen 1 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
In the middle of Chaos, God has provided life sustainment and given man Dominion.
God formed Man from the environment that he had made for man. I cant live like that some may say. I could never live for God the way that is expected of me. I dont have it in me.
God had carefully crafted an environment and a land to sustain him. God made man from the environment in which he intended for man to thrive.
Man formed in the image of God. He was beautiful standing there. Gods ultimate achievement. The first man. Around him was a beautiful creation. Life sustaining. Creatures walking up… Standing in grass? butterfly maybe landing on his shoulder...
But he didnt know anything about it. He didnt know it was there. He couldnt feel the breath of the creatures, the brush of the butterfly, the grass on his feet.
he was empty. all was beautiful but he did not have breath.
Filling
I imagine God leaning down and slow breathing into man! Watching him awake in a new world, in a new life, with the breath of God in his lungs. God imparted Ruach (the spirit) by the breath of air.
Romans 8:9 “9.... Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
Wonder how that felt as he came to life? This is the same word used for wind, spirit. Mighty rushing wind on day of Pentecost filled them. We filled with the spirit of God.
Man was a living being FILLED with the breath of God living in an environment and on a land that was FILLED with life sustaining elements.
bereshit bara elohim et ha shamayim va et ha eretz.
In the Beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Bara- Created
Bara can mean one of two things
Create something from nothing.
Fill to make fat (overflowing)
1 Samuel 2:29 “29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?”
Genesis 41:2 “2 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.”
Clear usages of Bara fill to overflowing
bereshit bara elohim et ha shamayim va et ha eretz.
In the Beginning God created the heaven and the earth. From nothing. The power of his word
Then filled Heavens with lights day and night. Stars without number. Sun that illuminates everything. Sun and moon working together to keep earth in a place of order. Overflowing light and order in the firmament.
Then filled the waters! 20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.7 8 9 10 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. Fill to make fat, Overflowing
Then God filled the Earth. 25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Filled to make fat, overflowing
God filled Man to overflowing by his breath (ruach) with his image or shadow. Just like him, action, thought, character . Fat with God. Filled to overflowing. Fat with his presence.
Ephesians 5:18 “... be filled with the Spirit;”
Acts 2:1–2 “1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.”
Acts 4:31 “31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, ...
Covenant

Todays lesson Creation-I will accept Gods invitation to covenant
Taught on covenant but looked it up.
Genesis 41:2 “2 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.”
( B-RY) — Fat: Livestock
( B-RYT) — Covenant: A covenant is instituted through a sacrifice of a choice, fatted, animal which is cut into two and the parties of the covenant pass through the pieces. If one party fails to meet the agreements of the covenant then the other may do the same to them.
Colossians 2:9 “9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
He was the fullest of the full. Choice. Fatted beyond measure as God in human flesh
1 Peter 1:19–20 “19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,”
He is the only one that can bring Light into the Chaos of world. John 8:12 “12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
He is the only one that can give order in a world surrounded by Chaos John 14:27 “27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
There is all around us but He is the only one that can breathe life so that we can experience the environment and sustainment that he has for us.
John 10:10 “10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Genesis 1-2 shows a loving God entering into a covenant of light, order, sustainment, and guidance with a filled to overflowing Man. Fat with the presence of God.
John 20:22 “22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:”
Psalm 16:11 “11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
