Four Corners
You Will Need
ping pong balls
large bowl
4 cones
Getting Ready
Cut apart the numbered slips.
Tape the four larger numbers to the cones, one in each corner of the room.
Number the ping pong balls, place them into the bowl.
Let’s play a game called Four Corners. Everyone will choose a corner in the room and go stand there. Then I’ll choose a volunteer to pick a number from the cup. If that number matches the corner you’re in, you’re out and must return to your seat. Let’s get started!
After each round, put the number slip back in the cup.
Let remaining kids choose new corners and draw a number again.
Keep playing until you have one winner or run out of time.

Bible Story: Ananias Responds to God

Scripture Reference: Acts 9:10–18 (NLT)
“Now there was a believer in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord spoke to him in a vision, calling, ‘Ananias!’ ‘Yes, Lord!’ he replied. The Lord said, ‘Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now. I have shown him a vision of a man named Ananias coming in and laying hands on him so he can see again.’” “But Lord,” exclaimed Ananias, “I’ve heard many people talk about the terrible things this man has done to the believers in Jerusalem! And he is authorized by the leading priests to arrest everyone who calls upon your name.” But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name’s sake.” So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Instantly something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he got up and was baptized.”

Teaching Time: God Has Plans for My Life

You Will Need

LEGOs or a LEGO kit (No prep needed)

Faith Fact

🗣️ Say it together: “God has plans for my life!”

1. God Uses People to Do His Work

📖 Key Idea: God could have healed Saul Himself—but He chose Ananias to be part of His plan.
🙋 Question: Why do you think God used Ananias instead of doing it Himself?
➡️ When God invites us to help with His work, we grow closer to Him and help others do the same.
🧱 Example: It’s like building your own treehouse—you learn and grow more when you’re part of the process!

2. Sometimes God Asks Us to Do Hard Things

📖 Key Idea: Ananias was scared, but he obeyed God and saw something amazing happen.
🙋 Question: Have you ever done something scary, like learning to ride a bike?
➡️ Just like with training wheels, we might fall—but trying and trusting God helps us grow.
💡 Truth: God might ask us to do something big or scary, but He always has a good reason.

3. God’s Plan is Better Than Ours

📖 Key Idea: Ananias obeyed, and Saul became one of the greatest missionaries ever!
🔨 LEGO Example: You wouldn’t build a giant LEGO set without following the instructions, right?
➡️ Even when God’s plan doesn’t make sense at first, if we follow Him step-by-step, everything fits together.
🧩 Truth: Trusting God is like trusting the LEGO guidebook—He knows the final picture even when we don’t.

Wrap-Up Thought

🎯 Just like Ananias, we might feel nervous or unsure about what God asks us to do. But we can be brave and trust His plan—because His plan is always good!
🙌 Say it one more time: “God has plans for my life!”
