Who’s driving?
I want you to think about who you would rather want driving the car… mom or dad? Grandpa or Grandma? Aunt or Uncle?
For me - It depends
Because my dad is the safe driver - Great on roadtrips. Awful when running late to school.
My mom is the dangerous one - We might get into 2 wrecks on the way there, but we can down 2 minutes on the drive to school!
STRUGGLE
STRUGGLE
For your spiritual life today - same question - Who’s driving?
Flesh or The Spirit.
Flesh Drive - Go off our own desires, feelings, insecurities.
You will be in the biggest wreck letting the flesh take the wheel.
Holy Spirit Drive - Go off God’s desires, God’s will, there’s no insecurities involved.
Being “Spirit Steered” is the best way to go.
In our life, we need to let “Holy Spirit Take the Wheel” instead of our flesh.
Who is The Holy Spirit?
Holy Spirit - The third Person of the Trinity, God's personal and active presence in the world and inside of believers. It guides, empowers and transforms us to live in step with Jesus.
Big Idea - God wants us to encounter Him by following where His spirit leads.

Before we go into groups - let’s pray.
1. Opening Connection
“When you’re in a car, who do you usually trust more to drive—your mom, dad, or someone else in your family? Why?”
2. Story Understanding
“In the lesson, we talked about two ways of driving your life—letting the flesh drive and letting the Spirit drive. What’s the difference between letting the flesh lead you and letting the Holy Spirit lead you?”
3. Big Idea
“Our Big Idea is: God wants us to encounter Him by following where His Spirit leads. What do you think it actually looks like to ‘let the Holy Spirit take the wheel’?”
4. Critical Thinking
“Why do you think it’s so easy to let our own feelings, fears, or insecurities drive our decisions instead of the Holy Spirit?”
5. Application
“Think about school, sports, or friendships—what’s one situation where you know you need to let the Holy Spirit guide you instead of your flesh?”
6. Living It Out
“This week, what’s one practical step you can take to be Spirit-steered—whether it’s choosing what to watch, how to treat someone, or how to respond in a tough moment?”
